  • Agreed. Ed Ames is most excellent.

  • i love how sad ed ames makes me

  • Oh man Ed Ames is so good. I can't believe it took me this long to come across it.

  • I was there in December 1992. They were supporting Sonic Youth on two nights at the Brixton Academy in London. They were fantastic - as you can hear.

Three years later they were playing the same big venue as headliners.

  • My First Mine is awesome. That, Circa 1676 (I never remember the date portion), Kentucky Cocktail, Angel Carver Blues/Mellow Jazz Docent, Box Elder, and Destroy Mater Dei are probably my fave b-sides. The alternate Range Life from the Crooked Rain sessions is also pretty cool, with an outro with acoustic guitar (I think...). Definitely immerse yourself in the treasure trove of Pavementness!

  • That part about extra material is so true. "My First Mine" is becoming one of my favorite Pavement songs.
