There's nothing wrong with using stuff bands made before you anyway because if you didn't there'd be fuck all left to do that hasn't already been done whether you do it deliberately or intentionally; as long as your lyrics are original and you only use a little bit of a song which you then evolve it into your own.

Being 100% original is almost impossible these days if you want something to sound good because all the chords have been used up!
