@m5chodry Brands Hatch Indy circuit is only 1.2 miles long -- but the combination of six corners, elevation changes and blind apexes makes it a challenging (and fun) circuit never the less. Ideal for novices and a challenge to the experienced.
I've never driven it, but there's also a longer 2.3 mile "Grand Prix" circuit with 9 corners.
@m5chodry Sorry for not seeing your comment earlier! BH Indy is 1.2 miles long, and very easy to drive, but deceptively difficult to "master". Very enjoyable and challenging track, especially committing yourself to the blind apex of Paddock Hill bend at the end of the main straight. :-)
I'm amazed brands let you film as they can be a little awkward. Looks like a lot of fun. Currently I have an RX-7 but am looking to get an 8 in the next few months :)
They're OK as long as you're using a mount they deem secure enough; I got away with a single suction cup mount, but they'd prefer multiple-points + tether :)
You also sign a disclaimer (which, ahem, prohibits from posting on the Internet -- but I think they really mean for commercial usage? Can't see what harm advertising their excellent track can do, so long as there's no 'dodgy' goings-on shown?).
Was there on the 27th for whole day, and took more footage, yet to edit down & post up more :)
TBH I don't see why they'd worry about the footage, it doesn't make a lot of sense, I guess they do have a good image that they don't want the riffraff (ie. us) to mess up :)
Looks like a fun day, do they open the full layout to the public?
They do track-days for both the full GP circuit, and the Indy -- TBH the Indy's plenty enough for a novice like me to be getting on with, and the GP days a are a lot more expensive, with lower noise limits. See the motorsportvision website for more info :)
This track is a lot shorter than I thought, is your car a 193 or 231 bhp?
