  • awesome job!

  • nice federal model 5 in attack(fire)mode. i love those wails, wails+volunteer firefighters=get to the station now, someone's life might be in danger. i don't know why people are complaining and asking for pagers. i heard on a video that the Mt. Gretna volunteer fire department is depending on the siren, because the chief/mayor said, "these pagers are not yet 100% reliable. people that complain about the noise should just think, these volunteers are helping other people out. i love the house siren

  • I live in Franklin virginia... and i know that at least three of our volunteer fire departments use air raid sirens... they go off when the department needs extra volunteers to assist with a call... scares me sometimes because it sounds just like the nuclear meltdown sirens for Surry Nuclear Plant

  • Do you guys not have radios or pagers? That would annoy the hell out of me every call!

  • have both just use the sirens for any member that may not be around there pager and to aleart the public that there is a call

  • COol video!

  • Nice siren love model 5s. Just courious what vehicles does that station have?

  • We have two sirens one on each side of town and both are model 5 there load and wish more depts would use them or turn theres back on

  • In suburban Houston, old fire station sirens are still around, but mostly as monuments (sadly, I know of two that rusted away) having been replaced by nextels and skypagers. I haven't seen a VFD with red lights on their cars in years, either.

  • a few depts in my county still use air-raid sirens

  • do they go off the same time?

  • yea

  • general fire alarm

  • thats why theyre taking their time.

  • Nice, sounds like a model 5(i lov model 5s) Also how meny and what kind of units are there?

  • the siren is a tadddd to long ..no pagers?my city once is good.

  • we have pagers and yea it could be a bit shorter think they were changing it to blow three times

  • at my firehall, you have to manually shut off the siren

  • great siren!!

  • some depts require you to go thru a acadamy some have there own training inhouse contact your local fire dept

  • sounds like a tornado siren

  • u can still hear that detroit diesel over it tho!!

  • Is that Boykins, Va??? Southampton County

  • Great video and house siren , sounds like a Federal Model 5 .
