its an turnbased RPG, it is the predecessor of Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi series.

it has joined the Wii's virtual console library for 800/900 points and now available pretty much everywhere

@PalkiaRuler44 Its like final fantasy, but with more emphasis on fun than on story, as is characteristic of Nintendo. It is the most fun RPG I have ever played. Its kind of juvenile at times, but charming. The battle system is engaging because all of your attacks can be enhanced by some timed button pressing action. The music is, obviously, fantastic. But most importantly, the Mushroom Kingdom is in danger, so you need to save it. Now!

Honestly, to this day, I think Super Mario RPG is the most unique spin on the RPG genre.

When I first rented this game many years back, I was like "DAMN, this will live on in my memories forever". 16 years later, I still remember this golden classic.
