  • The 5-on-1 was completely epic. This is why I miss 80's basketball..clean crisp and fast at any time.

  • NBA in Kansas City...i'd love to see that again!

  • @kuwinsitall Me too. As a fellow Kansas Citian, I could speak for everyone by saying, we DEMAND a NBA team in KC! Same for St. Louis too!

  • @Topherlee2

Yep. Quite a lull between December and April around here. You'd think KC could support a team. Maybe the Sac Kings (who aren't exacty thrilling the masses) would move back. That would be quite a u-turn!

  • 2:41--That was common in the NBA of the 1980s. And it was treated as being no big deal; just a part of the game back then.

  • Just for the Record: Between October 20, 1974 (the previous time the KC-Omaha Kings beat the Lakers at the Forum) and November 8, 1992 (when the Sacramento Kings FINALLY beat the Lakers at the Forum), the Kings beat the Lakers 16 times out of 44 games when L.A. wore "Forum Blue".

  • @nonplayerzealot4 I want to thank you for Posting these amazing Videos.

They sure bring back Memories from a Bygone Era. Never to be come by again.

This is why Us Laker Fans Miss Chick Hearn he was a Poet with the Play by Play.

  • Excellent footage. I can't believe how much you've compiled. Superb!

Other notes: Rambis also coached the Lakers and Byron Scott is the current coach for the Cleveland Cavs (also coached for New Jersey and New Orleans). Coop coached the Denver Nuggets briefly and for the WNBA's LA Sparks, USC and in the NBA Developmental League. Kareem is a special assistant coach for the Lakers. Eddie Johnson was not an assistant coach, but LaSalle Thompson was an assistant for Charlotte under Larry Brown.

  • 'nother great vid, npz. thx...

  • Sweet upload, another amazing document of NBA during its glory years (in my opinion)...thanks.

  • magic is the greatest floor general but terrible defender

  • 5 on 1 HOW?????????????

  • @arbtaras That's how much Pat drilled the fast break into them. Swen Nater trying to get into it, even. Those Laker teams, they were championship level, but they HAD TO break in order to be championship level. If a team couldn't force the tempo into a half court battle w/ them, forget it. All the talk about Kareem not running up court (even in the Airplane! scene) was unfair, it was too much for him to handle.
