@SlashTruck Ok :) Maybe you can tell us how you solved the problem? It might be helpful for others as I recieve these questions about finding the FS9.cfg a lot ;)
@FS2004AviationPro Well i just put the carpet option of show hidden carpets, then i went to "C- then to documents and settings then USER, Then Program Data.. there i found Microsoft Microsoft games/FS9 and finally found the FS9.cfg :D
hi again, I emailed you another request which is too long to post here.Pls check your email & spam folder as it might end up there. Basically I'm thinking the reason it does not work on me because I'm using keyboard to control the aircraft.Perhaps the effect will only work if you are using joystick or control yoke & rudder pedals combination. Can you check if by removing your controls totally & using keyboard if the effects still works?thanks in advance...
Got your fs9.cfg & just installed it - it still did not work; it's now obvious the problem is in my FS installation.I will re-install another FS in another computer & see if it works. Thanks again for the trouble-shooting assistance! I will keep you posted of the results. This is now getting exciting, rather than frustrating 8-)
thanks again for the very quick responce.Increased the value several times still no luck. If it's ok with you I would really appreciate if you can email me your fs9.cfg (to dmcbohol at gmail.com) so I can try it in my computer. If your cfg works I will do go over line by line to compare your cfg with mine.I think there must be something else in my cfg that prevents it from working.I'm using 9.1, will this make any difference from 9.0?Many thanks for all the assistance.I'm learning new things!
@dmcbohol I have 9.1 as well so I don't think that causes any problems. I sent you the fs9.cfg, hope it helps, otherwise you must think of a complete reinstallation if you really want those turbulence effects ;)
hi and thanks for the quick responce. I did re-open & save it several times & compared the figures with the screen capture I made from your YouTube video & they are exact same. I even tried changing the values but no luck.I don't even know how to make Active Camera do the head shaking/movement although it functions as it should with Flyby/approach mode.I disabled Active Camera but still... I wonder why my FS9 just wouldn't work...It's kinda frustrating & exciting at the same time ;-).
@dmcbohol For the headshaking of Active Camera you must activate the internal pilot view and also all the internal functions in the setup menu of Active Camera. It's frustrating indeed, maybe you should try a very high value on the turbulence scale like 6.0 and try that. And select "major thunderstorm" in the weather tab in FS to test it.
I have done what you did but still I can't get mine to work (FS 9.1/2004). Is there other settings I need to adjust? I have turned on Turbulence Effects in settings & have even installed Active Camera succesfully but still not working. Do you have to have Active Camera installed to make this work? Would be happy to have this working on my setup. Pls help...thanks
@dmcbohol Active Camera is not necessary for the turbulence effects, it just gives you a realistic head movement. Try to open your FS9.cfg again and take a look if you have actually saved the settings you made, it should work perfectly ;)
By the way do you know how to make it so that when we are in the virtual cockpit the view moves just like in FSx when the plane is moving or there is turbulence? Other then active camera... What I mean is basicly just realistic head movement without needing any other thing like track ir or things like that....
@TheWrestlingrobot It's more realistic and I base this on my flying experience. I flew in a C172 in real and I adjusted the weather in FS2004 as it was back then and it was more realistic in my opinion. If you don't like it, just switch back to the old one or decrease the values a bit ;).

With my joystick :), with keyboard you can move the rudder with 0 and Enter on the numpad.
FS2004AviationPro 1 year ago
@FS2004AviationPro How do you center the rudder when your done pressing 0 or enter its very annoying...
TheWarPlanet 1 year ago
@TheWarPlanet Buy a joystick :D. When you press 5 on the numpad you center everything so the rudder as well, but also the ailerons and elevator.

@FS2004AviationPro Thanks ill try 5 and i do have a joystick.

Looks awesome, I'll give it a try and let you know how it compares to the actual thing, the default turbulence was not very convincing in FS9.
BTW, who makes that 767?

@FSX404 Ok :). This is the Level-d 767 with vc-textures from Andre Folkers.
