  • So, thats it?

    I wish there was more

  • ... Issun? Lol, being a nub, but I love that guy so much! He's telling this, isn't he?

  • Wait i beat the game 4 times an nvr saw credits!

  • @RazzethTheWerewolf

Sorry for the slow reply; if you are using the Wii version, the credits have been removed due to copyright issues.

  • If it's any consolation, I finished Okamiden last week, and the ending hinted heavily at more entries to this legend of games. There's no official word, but there is the promise of another possible game.

  • @WolfInTime i hope so, i wanna know who kuni really is

  • the one thing i hate about this game is that it has a end (someone in ather video said the some thing if you reading this then sorry) but it has one kick @ss credit music

  • Who the fuck hit dislike?! Some people, I swear...

  • @GRFX2510 it was yami

  • so issun was the narrator all along? i thought it was old man ishaku

  • It sucks that Ready at Dawn didn't put the credits in. I think they could've at least remade it so they could avoid the lawsuit they were worried about.

  • The is in my opinion the greatest video game ever (and it quite possibly may be the ACTUAL best game ever) The story actually touched me, which I can't say for most games. I can't believe they took these credits out of the Wii version! But that's just one of VERY few flaws in this game. Everything else completely overshadows the flaws. There's great music, great artwork, and great humor!

  • so the wii version was made by no-one?

  • @kk333777

    Taken from 1up:

Capcom's official reason for removing the credits is that they were a pre-rendered movie that contained the logo of the now-defunct Clover Studio. "We have no legal right to use the Clover logo in a game they were not involved with directly," said Seth Killian, Senior Community Manager at the Capcom Bulletin Board System. "We also didn't have the source to the credit movie itself, so we couldn't just use it and remove the Clover logo."

  • @Aurellene I love how a simple thing like copyright can prevent people from being credited for such a beautiful game...

  • i watch this and my heart is melting *tear* uh oh

  • now just if i knew japanez i wood no what on earth shes saying! lol

  • lol you missed the point! geez... thats whats wrong with you lol so funny

  • i love this game so much! thanks for helping me find all the stray bead, it really help, i cant wait for Okami too! :D

  • Inspirational game,

    EPIC

    GAME

    EVER. nuff said XD

  • Best

    Game

    Ever

    TTnTT

  • i cant believe they took the credits out of the wii version, what were they thinking! it is soooo much better on the PS2.

  • ahh every word is tail of wisdom and issun the little bug knows every bit of it i hope he did not hear me call him a bug cause i'm not up for a fight right now well thanks Aurellene for playing this

  • --Spoilers--

I just beat Orochi last night. While going through the Moon Cave I was thinking "I don't even have all 13 brushes!" Then I beat him. Oooh. ;D

But anyways, such a pretty song! D: I wish the Wii had the credits. Silly legal nonsense.

  • The most epic game, has the most epic credits. Clover studios, you guys rock!

"When one tries to master something, it either ends in success or failure. But it is in the attempt itself where you find the true value. Believe in your own power and walk your own path." -Oki

  • You know...when I bought the game, I thought. "Hm...It looks kinda cool. Maybe it's a nice little amusement." When I've finished off Orochi, I was like. "Good game, but a little short.", until I noticed it went on...and on...and on. When "Time of Parting" sounded out the farewell from our beloved magic paper, I was actually shattering some tears, which is the first time EVER I've cried due to a video game, only to have it happen again as Issun finally answers his call. And now these credits

  • bring to a final ending on what is one of the greatest games ever....

An old Issun telling this epic tale was the perfect ending to a game like this.

And once more I'll scatter tears for Okami...or rather Okamiden, the sequel which I will never get to play due to lack of a Nintendo DS.

And I really hate the creators to put it only on one console....and that also being Nintendos secondary/handheld console....

Whoever's idea it was: "Hey, Let's make Okamiden DS only!"

    May Ammmy smite you!

    あなかしこ

  • I still can't believe they cut this out of the Wii version, IMO it's one of the best parts of the entire game.. and on top of it they even cut out the part at 4:32, too. It doesn't even have Clover Staff names.

  • I just love this song. Love it love it love it! <33

  • This is one of those games I'll be keeping in my library until I'm old and wrinkled. Seems they really put a huge effort into the soundtrack AND game, which came together perfectly.

  • out of all the games I've played, Okami has to be the most warming and well-designed games of them all. It's got superb gameplay, graphics, story, characters, and the music suits the overall mood so well, and even adds to the japanese culture that's represented through this game superbly. The morals, the lessons learned through the characters, this game has to be one of the best, if not the best, ever created.

  • It was so horrible of Capcom to deliberately take away the credits from the Wii version. Clover Studios did an amazing job and it's tremendously sad that they were closed down.

  • Comment removed

  • I love the ending song. Its so sad, but its so full of hope. <33

  • I think narrator is Issun. Just a vibe I'm getting.

  • wtf i finished the game and i never got the credits

  • @lovepandas5

If you have the Wii version, then that is normal: the credits were intentionally removed from the Wii version.

  • @Aurellene that sucks i like this endind song

  • @Aurellene I just read about them removing the credits because of the company logo inside. I never really noticed when playing the game, but now I wanted to see them^^

  • @Aurellene The developers were really sad about that. The credits were special to them. They restored them in the Japanese version. Why not just update the US version? They do that with old games.

  • im so sad i just finished my game:( (it took me forever to get back into it but i did) i stopped playing once i got to yami then never got into it but i just did and finished the whole game:(:( im gonna miss playing it with the surprises of a new game:(

  • this game has to have the best damn game ending ever. It made me cry, it made me have a broad smile, no game has ever completely done that to me. this game is amazing. infinant stars for you Ammy!!

  • @Izizumi873 i completely agree even watchin this video years after its release i cry because something that cant be put into words....clover shouldve never disbanded, but at least okami will live on in okamiden

  • those bastards who ported it to the wii never gave them credit >:(

  • @supermario1232

    Calling them bastards isn't fair.

By the time it was ported to the Wii, Clover had been shut down.

There would've been lawsuits if they kept the credits from the PS2 version.

It does suck, but I would never have played Okami if not for the Wii version.

  • I loved this game! Everything in it was beautiful.

  • T.T

    beutiful song!

  • Issun! Your the storyteller! :3

  • what the fuuuuuuck it's the longest game i've just buy it and i was thinking that is't short but damn 161 parts with walktroug,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i think im going to finish the game at 30 years

  • I'm so sorry; I've been so busy with school lately, I haven't gotten much time to reply to anything!

Hahaha, its really not that long. My first playthrough took me 2 days with sleep, etc. But it all depends on your personal style (zoom through the game with no side-quests, or to explore every bit, etc).

  • @shadowsilversonicfan i took 1 day to finish this not counting rest. but counting rest,n my first playthrough was 2 months

  • Aww i didnt't want it to end XD

  • I heard Nintendo's making a sequel to this game but on the DS....ign was talking about it and some other website i think wired idk

  • the sequel is called Ōkamiden: Chiisaki Taiyō. it looks AMAZING! i hear it will come out soon this very year in Japan!

  • OMG! The narrator was Issun the whole time?

  • who is the storyteller btw??

  • i think its issun, since in the title movie its his brush and he was there for the whole story (almost)

  • Issun 8D

  • Good song in the end:D whats the name of it?

  • Read her description 8)

  • I'm so sorry; I've been so busy with school lately, I haven't gotten much time to reply to anything!

The song name is "Reset", by Ayaka Hirahara.

  • wii version sucks :( unfortunately i dont hav a ps2 BUT ill buy 1 just 4 this game cuz its worth it :) but long live Okami Amaterasu

  • @rockinthepolkadotsox

the wii version doesnt suck you just havent gotten used to the controls yet

  • @AndyAndyAndy11111 well actually i think its my remote and wii (its a little messed up : /) so the game kinda sucks for me but im almost done with the game

  • @rockinthepolkadotsox

The Wii version is brilliant, they did a great job with the controls.

Except for the dodging with the nunchuk, that's just ridiculous.

  • @seanileus when i tried the dodging it was just way to hard, they should try to improve it sometime it would make the game even better!

  • Man, I wish they kept the credits in on the Wii version. Like, they could've put their logo in instead of Clover's at the end, or they could've given Clover credit for making the original PS2 game or SOMETHING! But nooo they had to take it out completely... :(

  • Yeah, it shouldn't have been hard for ReadyAtDawn to include their logo, whether or not they remove Clover's. This song just adds to everything I love about the game.

  • I can't wait for Okamiden!

  • soooo....... assuming the narrator is probably issun? hard to tell with the garbled mush voice and cryptic messages lol...... i'll be so DEPRESSED when i finish the game!!!!!!!!! nnoooooo!!!!!

  • me too! except, im alredy depressed cuz i beat it :(

  • They have this song on the wii version but its only in presents from issun.

  • I think they have it in PS2 as well, otherwise it was a remix.

  • i just wanna say thankyou for uploading all of these vids aurellene! its been a pleasure watching them whenever i get stuck, thanks!

  • okami is 1 of the best games ever =3

they should make okami 2 or 1 anime (if there isnt 1 already)

  • @xxXuRRyxx twey have a sequel its called okamiden. i think ull like it

  • Why does "We Ski" sell over a million copies while Okami gets mediocre sales? I mean, wtf?

And couldn't Capcom have just cut the Clover Studio bit out and made the screen fade slowly or something? It would be a hell of a lot better than just taking the ending out entirely. Those credits provide a lot more closure than what you get in the Wii version. :(

I'd play the PS2 one if my parents actually let me get a PS2/3, haha... or whenever a decent emulator gets made :O

  • It's a fact: mainstream stuff sells better than "hardcore" stuff. The "hardcore" no longer control the industry as much as they used to.

  • I want clover to go back to capcom to make an Okami 2. :( Too bad they are with platinum games now. Maybe capcom find a good team to 'attempt' to make a sequel. I don't know if they would succeed though.

  • Seeing as clover originally took alot of inspiration from the Zelda franchise, maybe Nintendo could help, but still make the game available on the PS3 giving credit to where Okami came from in the first place.

  • Capcom bought an disbanded Clover studios.

The lead artists, designers, an programers from Clover left Capcom, an formed Seeds studios.

For while there was hope that there would be an Okami2,

  • Capcom still has the rights though, and if they wanted to they could make a sequel. Weather it comes out as good depends.

  • they are realeasing okamiden (the sequel) when okami gets more sales.

    :D

  • Really? I hope it come out on the PS2. PI preferred it over the wii...

  • Too bad, because Okamiden is a DS game.

  • i looked it up and apparently what the story is that the once peaceful land is in trouble so issun is sent to look for the new hero(i forget the name) to help while okami is still in the celestial plane so its a new dog completely

  • Feggets didn't put this in the wii version. >:C

  • I know, I was finishing it 3 time before I looked on youtube.

It's one of my favourite bits in the game.

  • So, if I end the game, saw the credits, blah blah, I can't load the file where I ended the game to visit the other villages?!

  • Once you save the game after the final boss, it'll start a -new- game. Like a new game +. You get a bonus of 1,500,000 yen, get to keep most weapons, money, a few artifacts will be lost, etc.

So, in short.. you can't. Starting from when you board the ark, you can't go back to visit any villages.

  • when you get on board the ark of yamato (i haven't gotten to this part yet) can you still go to villages? because doesnt the game end after?

  • Once you board, you can't get off.

  • Wait...so the narrator was Issun!?

  • *sniff* Aurellene....I....HAVE COMPLETED THE BEADS!!! =D God the race with Kai was terrible and I beat blockhead grande with luck when I remembered there were '8' weak points my 4 looked like a nine but I was able to realize that so I finally got rid of blockhead grande just like that XD

  • Congratulations! :3

  • Thanks =) I bet you had trouble with those guys at first....How many tries did it actually took for you to beat those guys? O.o

  • Kai was only kind of time consuming. I don't think I ever ran out of time.

Blockhead Grande I'm not sure how many times it took or if I did it in one try. But its quite easy for me if I have a sharpie >:3

  • Tee hee! It looks like Ammy is dancing to the song! ^.^

  • Wish they could make this into an anime ;~; its so beautiful!!!

  • that would be awesome

  • great game. im gonna play this again. i love this song too. i listened to it before i got okami.

  • I'm pretty bummed that Okami probably isn't going to have a sequel. However, there is a group called Okami Hope that wants spread the word of Okami and make it more popular. The leader is Starfox64nintendo, so send him a message if you are interested in joining. If enough people join, Okami could have a change of plans. ^_^ Okami Hope is Okami's last hope!

  • Okami has a greater chance of having a sequel now because the vets of Clover Studios are together again as Platinum Games. Hideki Kamiya even expressed his intentions of continuing this game soon.

  • no because clover was a branch of capcom if im right and capcom technicaly has the rights to okami now.

  • Ah, those money grubbing corporates.

  • There's been a statement that was released a while back that said that an Okami sequel would only be considered if more units were sold.

    Its sales weren't amazing sadly.

  • The best game of ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I was really disappointed after I beat the game on the wii (lost my ps2 version) and didnt see this. But I think the wii version was very creative =3

  • I really wish they could have found a way to keep the credits in the wii version - or at least remake them.

  • I finally completed watching the walkthrough! Phew! WOW! I love how the dubbers even kept the original names(although some shortened) and the original song!

  • this game touches my heart.

  • mine too :3

  • For example, at the end of this video, the narrator, which I assume is Issun, said that he would tell the *rest* of the story another time. As well when Waka said "This journey is far from over." It would be kinda weird to have those signs unanswered. If many people, here on youtube, have noticed these signs too, then go ahead and thumbs up this comment, if you disagree and think my comment is totally stupid, no hard feelings and go ahead and thumbs down. One more thing...OKAMI = EPIC AWESOME!!!

  • Im really looking forward to there being a sequel. Okami is pretty much, easily my favorite game ever made.

  • I can see everyone is very anxious for a sequel. Well I don't blame you people, because, like Okami is such an awesome game! It would be a total bummer if Okami was the only awesome game without a sequel V.V BUT! In the game, if you all looked and paid very close attention throughout the game, especially the ending, you will see, different signs, about how the journey still continues.

  • this game is the best japanese historic game, aah.i remember when i finish this game 4 times 3 years ago :)

    yes,its issun i think.

  • I figured out who was tellinz teh story. ISSUN, IT HAD TO BE ISSUN!!!

  • Those were awesome credits. I wish I could've seen them in full, but I only have the Wii. AND DAMMIT, YOUTUBE!! Quit loading only part of the video and teasing me while buffering for infinity!! *runs off to find the ending after credits*

Every time I hear this song, I'm sorry, but something makes me wanna bust out some Ouendan moves. I love it to death.

    And, dammit, I need to BUY this game. I need money ;.;

  • I wish the credits were put in the wii version. T.T

The ending made me so sad,

I kinda wish Ammy could have gone back to the world instead of the celestial plain. Still best game I've ever played. :]

  • I get watery eyes when I see this T_T

  • Hey guys...if u played this game on the Wii, did u ever see the ending credits? I never did! ='( I was so disappointed

  • The final credits movie that was in the PlayStation 2 version of the game was removed from the Wii version, much to Kamiya's regret... Capcom representative noted that the credits, a pre-rendered movie, had the Clover Studio logo within it, and they had "no legal right to use the Clover logo in a game they were not involved with directly". Since they also lacked the source to the credits, they opted to remove them entirely from the game.///Wikipedia for more info.

  • Thanks for the info.

It's too bad they had to remove them, the credits were beautiful

  • Aww, I don't like it when it has to end XD....Okami 2 owuld be awesome

  • Wow. Amazing credits. Too bad I have the Wii version :(

  • i peronally think they should have made the ark go up to the celestial plain, with a small remnant of yami lodging itself in Ammy's mirror.. where as you have to do a fight inside Ammy's spirit itself.

Basically, ending the game where it is a light Ammy versus a Dark ammy. :P

  • i like that ending!!!! :D

actually, i think they should have made a sequel that way! like, after ammy beats yami, a small part remains with her, and then, the rest of the plot, and so forth.

  • i wish they had an okami 2

  • wait a sec is issun the narrator???

  • ya really i thought of it too!

i mean he said "geez" and "brush" i think it's really him!

    woah!

  • Don't have Wii. Colors look iffy in Wii, controls are a bit...off and no credits v_v

  • Actually the coloring looks better in the Wii version to me =3

The color are more vivid and it looks like a painting came to life.

  • You have Okami on Wii? I heard somethings are impossible to do because of the controls

  • Actually not really.

The controls are good, and the paintbrush is quite forgiving.

The only things I hate are fleetfoot, which is used when you move the nunchuck, but you dont even need to get fleetfoot and Bloom. Bloom isn't as forgiving and sometimes it does gaelstorm instead. But it only takes practice.

  • Well, thunder strike (the Z figure) and the fire ball (infinite sign) are hard to get right, but you can easily pass the game without them.

  • Agreed. Those were the biggest PITA's to do. Good thing you didn't need to do them ;P

  • WAAHH!

    D'X

They took the credits out of the wii version Dx

  • I know. It pissed me off.

  • It aches my heart everytime I watch the credits T.T

It just felt like something was not done or a deep void was left...WE NEED OKAMI 2!!!

  • Best Game i've ever played :D

  • Eff the ppl that didn't buy the game, it was SO GREAT,(although i dont want to start from the beginning...)I WANTED TO C THE CELESTIAL PLANS, I WANTED MORE WAAAAAH NOw THERE'S GUNNA BE NO SEQUEL

  • I beat the game todayy!!!!!!THANK YOU AURELLENE, but....i finished the game and....it started....over from the beginning =.=

  • Congratulations~ Though, did it even ask you if you wanted to save or start a new game? X3

  • it DID ask me, but it's such a drag of how I need to start from the front, AND THE GAME WAS SO GREAT, lots of my time was spent on it, and*sniff*I didn't expect it to start over and that i would lose all of my Last weapons

  • i don't know why but i think i fell love in this song...

  • I beat the game T-T Now I'm sad XD I wish there was more..and that we could see the Celestrial Plain ._.

  • that would be in Okami 2, although there is no proof that it will actually come

  • this game should be made into a movie, they could use the voices of viewtiful joe characters (i dont know there names, but they were good voice actors) joe could be issun!

  • While I love the game (just 100%'d it today) I wouldn't want it going anywhere near a film studio. Why? They'll fuck it up. Seriously. A FFVII: AC kind of thing would be better than live action, of course, but I'm content enough with the game. I mean, how do you fit that epic tale into the space of a single movie?

  • i meant a 3d movie (cel shaded) except an advent children type thing would suck

the resident evil type (the new one) would work

  • :c i beat the game and all , but i didnt get any credits.. how do you get credits? i would like some ;3; i have the wii version just so you know.

    can anyone help me out?

  • The Credits were cut out of the Wii-Version. :(

  • D8> that BITES!

    ugh! that makes me angryyy

  • >_>; now i dont wanna beat the game (although im still at lechaku and nechaku)

  • yeah , without the credits , i dont get a sense of closure to the gme at all , like i did with any other game like zelda. oh well :c

  • this ending isn't in the Wii version since it was cut due to legal reasons. this and many other reasons are why the PS2 version is considered the definite version.

  • What the hell this wasnt in the wii version and by the way does anybody have a video of what you get when you get all stary beads

  • When you get all the beads you receive the artifact, String of Beads which gives infinite solar unit and ink pot, and attack x10.

  • I just beat the game today.

thank u for the walkthroughs Aurellene!!!

  • Such a nostalgic song T~T

  • The reason why they have this game on the Wii version is because Capcom reprogrammed it for that system. Since Clover studio went out of business they had to do it instead. Hopefully Capcom will make the sequel.

  • They didn't go out of business, Capcom just fired them.

  • It was Ready At Dawn who did the coding, not Capcom.

  • I think clover studios went out of business because their game didn't sell very well. It's sad because I was hoping there would be a sequel.

  • I finished this game like a year ago, and I still like it so much! But my PS2 has been destroyed, I opened my PS2 and started breaking things, then I realized what mistake I had made! But anyways, the PS2 deserved this, because it didn't play any game at all!:D

  • i passed it yesterday!!!!!!!!

its kind of sad knowing theres no more of the story =,(

and is the narrator at the end issun...

his speech thingy gave me the idea he was issun

  • there is more to story :D....after you beat...play again on new file and better stuff :D
