the Hawks defense are very good at getting pucks on net and most are good passers as well. I love the fact that the "D" isn't afraid to blast away during the power play. Very simple, effective hockey. Go Hawks!

I remember watching this game. It should have been 4 goals. The one that was called a high stick was not even close to being above the top of the net, you could clearly see it in the replay. Toews is incredible. A natural leader as well.

I am a pens fan, but I think the Hawks are a Western Conference version of the Pens, the best players are young and the team is on the ascension. They might be playing in a cup against each in the next few years.

Also a similar thing at a pens game I was at. The pens gave away free bags, and the pens beat the Isle 9-2 and there were two Pens hat tricks in the game. needless to say after the second hattrick, the PA announcer was asking fans to refrain from throwing the bags on the ice

couldnt agree more I can see the Pens and Blackhawks playing in the Stanley Cup final someday, i was very impressed with the Blackhawks and finally being able to see Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane up close, but yea I agree I can see some Pens and Blackhawks cup finals games in the future

His recalled goal wasn't a goal. It was a high stick. Its pretty clear on the video replay during the game. Fans that think that the league is out to get them really need to just shut up.

It's not THAT clear. The call on the ice was no goal, so it would had to have been very conclusive that there wasn't a high stick. If the call on the ice was a goal, I don't think it would have been overturned either

yah but the thing was that a week prior minisotta had a very clearly high stick against the hawks and the call on the ice was no goal..and even with conclusive evidence that it WAS a high stick..they counted it as a good goal..thats where hawks fans feel robbed..keep it the same rulees all around.

I know that this is old, but originally the call on the ice was goal. But then they said they had conclusive evidence saying it was no goal. Of course we don't know what toronto saw, but in all the replays CSN showed you couldn't tell or it didn't look high enough. But most of the frustration came from the week before.
