  • Quick question, you think Peter Tosh free formed also? I know Peter Tosh followed in Rastafarian-ism but his hair looked more organized and even than usual free formed locs.

  • @SkullMan00X ofcourse he did all rastas do

  • @iriesoaringeagle I know they do, but Peter Tosh's dreads look really uniformed, it's just hard to believe he got them free forming.

  • uuum any tips on da towel rub method???

  • @noreved dont bother towel rubbing just creates a general knotted mess that theyn has to be ripped apart into dreads just dont touch em let em dread towel rubbing doesnt give ya much of a head start to be worthwhile at all

  • so u didnt twist or anything??

  • @VincetheConqueror1 NO TWISTING

  • Dude! Nice videos man! I started neglecting my hair about 2 months ago. Just washing and letting it hang dry. Check out my page to see a video of me and my hair. I'm gonna start chronicling my dread journey soon, as well. Have you seen KnottyMarcus's videos on here of his dread journey? He's got great dreads by the end of his year. Also, tell me a little about your Raw Vegan philosophy? Do you do it for health, environment, ethics or other? Thanks for sharing man!

  • Peace.... you are beautiful brotha!!! Luv'n your locs and appreciate and respect your journey. I'm 1+ year into my journey and my my my, how amazing. I luv my hair. Please keep posting... all the best!!!

  • now that you do have your dreads and its thicker surely how do you keep it mosturized.

  • Thanks for the quick response much respects and btw how did you go about keeping your hair mosturized and such? Was it just the soap (just ordered it hours ago) or just a host of other things.

  • @tommyhamilton91 I have never had the problem of drying, sometimes in the winter months occasionally. The trick is to make sure you rinse your hair thoroughly

  • Greeting bro at 7:sum minutes did you mean you wash your hair everyday? Trying to get the basics down.

  • @tommyhamilton91 In the beginning when my hair was shorter I would wash everyday in a circular motion to make locks form. After that I let them dred on there own.

  • nice bike

  • @Scicotion :)

  • I got a lot of info from your video but I don't understand your purpose for going to a loctician if you didn't want them to do what people pay them to do. You could have just told her to wash condition and separate your hair and not maniuplate it by twisting if you are a freeforming locker. I go to a loctician and I already know what to expect of the service. If I were to ever go to someone different I would tell them which way to twist and what i did and did not use on my hair.

  • @artistNexile Peer pressure :)

  • hey loc brova great vid man and what you said tru talk its looks great and foreal your hair fit you bruh ya know like free forming not for everybody but it really fit you my brova! stay up...and its amazing how your loc turned out though great!

  • @bamllih gratitude for these words.

  • family members talk me out of keeping it..but i'm starting fresh and am going to grow my hair to never again visit the barbershop lol. Do you have any advice for people with short hair that are trying to grow their hair out..my hair's pretty dry and drys out easily too..did u have problems with breakage? I'll stop here and take a breather so u can answer whatever you can lol

  • @MrDeverly1

    * easier then it looks just wash it and you just leave it " find a shampoo you are balanced with" <---- hardest part.

    * ignore your friends and family members " it is what it is"

  • I'm not gay but I just have to fuckin say that you are gorgeous..your hair is fuckin gorgeous...and those are the NEEEEEEEEEAATESST FREE FORM DREADS I HAVE EVER SEEN..I'm done with the craziness...so aside from eating healthy and taking regular showers...what lotions do you use for your skin and hair if any..are ur skin and body lotions natural as well..hope i'm not prying? I had a fro last year and let

  • @MrDeverly1 Thanks for the compliment, no lotions, no products, no toothpaste, nothing synthetic. If I can't eat it it doesn't go in my hair or on my skin.

  • I love you Locs!! I just started to free form it's hard but I love how it looks full..

  • i got my hair locked and just let it grow without doin shit but washing it...and it looked like this...i want big dreads though like Marley and other rastas....should i just keep doing what i did and not touch it?

  • Love this video. Very informational. Much power to you brother!

  • lol u got a new york+southern accent

but i respect u a lot for everythning u said in this vid

man it just looks like it takes up soo much time :O

  • @misspotential THANKS,.. you can free form from where u are at they would look really nice on you.. I comment on your other video PEace

  • I love your locks. May God bless you and keep you and give you peace.

  • i got neglect dreads and they are way shorter than your cause iam a rasta man but true rasta think if u twist your dreads u twist ur faith keeping going though brother man

  • white ppl shouldnt use wax either..nobody should put wax in dreads it ruins all dreads

  • @iriesoaringeagle I can't speak to your kind of hair, I just know that most Europeans use some type technique to get their hair "dreaded" whether that be wax, crocheting, backcombing, wool friction etc. Original people have naturally coiled hair which doesn't call for gross waxes , glues or any other type of manipulation. The world see's it as the neglect method, whereas you and I both know it's really to be the

    patience method.

  • @cupidvalentino1 they udse it because theyto told they should by producty pushers and locticians out to get rich off of telling lies

  • why the hell would u go to a loctician with natural dreads

  • @iriesoaringeagle peer pressure and at the time I was a slave, and unfortunately most masters don't allow original people to wear there hair natural, especially on the corporate plantations.

  • @cupidvalentino1 technicaly jobs cannot descriminate against natural dreads since all dreads defendable as a religios expression should be natural so by going to a loctician u allow them tohat u can and cant do u give uhts to defend as a religios expression

  • @iriesoaringeagle well my friend in a free perfect world what you say is true, but there is no real protection across the board for people to wear their hair naturally, especially people that have naturally "NAPPY" hair. There are ways to go about this with each person individually, but to set up a group trap is sending the wrong message. You have choices yes, but there are no RIGHTS for you to wear your hair as you please when you are speaking of LAW and EMPLOYMENT, in your imagination yes.

  • @cupidvalentino1 ctualy thats not true there have been hundreds of precidents set not even in jail can they force u to cut cover or maintain your dreads when muslim women in the workplace refuse to change theyre traditional garb they were deemed to be religiosly protected the same has gone for dreads..if you deffend it thats the thing you got to stand up and

  • @cupidvalentino1 cont-deffend it and not give in i know a guy whos a rocket scientist with unmaintained natural dreads i know drs roo professors and lawyers they only can push u around if u let them ive worked in corporate officedss with my dreads dragging on the ground ive dealt with poloticians and ceos and was a ceo myself of 2 non profits.

  • Nice video dude, keep spreading the word of natural dreads.

  • Nice video dude, keep spreading the word of natural dreads.

  • sub'd .. keep it up and ill watch :)

  • @electlion video coming soon.....thx for the sub .. peace

  • yo ur hair looks a lot like mine, I'm at 2 months rite now and I never put anything in my hair jus "watch-n-wait" like I call it lol, I mite start posting vids of my own bcuz ppl like you and I need to educate others about the true and healthy way to go bout getting locks or "matted hair" lol

  • @datdudedave08 Ok so I subscribed to your channel. Now all's u have to do is make the video.. Make it happen its not enough of us out here.

  • you shouted out hatsdontfit ..he's a real inspiration

  • @producerjayroc yesssurrr

  • those are nice...

  • Keep up the great work!!!

  • @benjaminscameron Thanks will do .. new video coming soon .. just been lazy the last few days.

  • interesting

  • 1 question, what is the reason you don't cover your hair at night?

  • @thedonprophet Well I started out covering my hair for the longest, but constantly would wake up with my hair either sweating like hell and for some reason the band was causing some kind of rash on forehead., Other then that it was just mad uncomfortable to wear. Now I just sleep on a sateen pillowcase which is sort of like satin but its cotton and breathes. You could use either tho. Peace GOD

  • This is the video I been waitin for! Much respek brother!

  • @thedonprophet Appreciate the "sub", I am checking for the song on your channel is that you ??

  • @cupidvalentino1 yer its a nice tune, i made dat a while ago, i also produced aswel

  • @thedonprophet keep it up yo ... I sometimes think that I should be making music of some kind.

  • @cupidvalentino1 Do it fam we need more knowledge out there!

  • as much as i enjoy having natural hair and enjoy seeing people enjoying their natural hair, i want to share with you that you are probably a wonderful and kind person, and if God forbid, an illness or natural hair thinning/balding took your hair away, you would STILL be a wonderful and kind person who would be able to navigate through a fulfilling life. peace.

  • @purenature1000 ahhh thanks I think :)

  • Good shit brotha. Keep the videos coming

  • @userpiks Gratitude !!!

  • Asante(thnx) for that insight. I'm also on the path of being tottally natural n I'm glad u came into my path. So happy to see that we going back to the root. Stay strong my bro.

  • @DreadLockVince HA HA man WOW Gratitude

  • Gorgeous locs, I really your video please keep them coming

  • @quotidianlight Will do thks for the support its so great to be able to meet others, I am surrounded by a bunch of people who just don't understand the enlightenment I get from something as simple as my hair, but I really feel more connected its as if they are like little antennas on my head guiding me thru life. PEACE

  • @cupidvalentino1 yes, antennas are exactly how I feel about them as well. They hold energy, move energy and seek it. You just have to be open to it imo

  • Comment removed
