Recorded 27th of June 2004 @ the Kids 'n' Billies festival in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Europe's finest allfamily R & R-meeting in the most beautiful open-air-theatre "De Goffert". Be there, saturday June 30th 2011.
...Check out the post "Fulltone Boogie" by The Fulltones... the closest thing we have to The Paladins here in Los Angeles now... two former members of Royal Crown Revue, whom Dave Gonzalez was a big fan of...
The Paladins are definitely a Rockabilly band but this is a Blues song, first recorded by Otis Rush on Chess Records in January 1960 as I'M SATISFIED. Rockabilly started out as hillbillies playing Blues and R&B so it's all the same anyhow. That's why we just call it "Roots music".
He must have recorded it twice because I quoted straight from the liner notes of CHESS BLUES GUITAR. Those cats did that a lot back then so it wouldn't be unusual.
2nd best rockabilly (thats what he calls himself rockabilly even if it is a little bluesish) guitarist alive under Brian Setzer and one of the best blues improvisers to ever live.
Whoa -- check out that key change at 1:57. In all the times I've seen them play this song live (and that's a lot), I've never seen 'em throw a key change in there like that. Interesting.
Leuk voorprogramma voor Brian.

No No! Otis Rush recorded this in 1958 and it was realesed on Cobra records. It was the B-Side to Double Trouble.

Yep, you're right. He re-recorded it!! I do wonder why though?, it's as good but not better than the earlier version.

That bass player is quite a versatile guy. Not only does he lay down a mean groove, but he will paint any car for $99.95.

No one plays a groove the way Dave, Tom, and Brian lays it down. Just plain SOLID.
