Regarding nationalism, this phenomena is embedded in Islam..If the State and Islam are united then there remains no distinction between the two feelings..Patriotism and piousness become directly proportional to each other..

Besides, Ahmadinejad won his liberal supporters through his modesty and humbleness, which is also embedded in his beliefs of being an ideal leader..

Similarly, i don't shy away from criticizing the mistakes of the Iranian govt either, like their ambiguous stance on the Libyan war..
