Knowledge is power. These various Open Carry incidents are more an issue of citizens calling police because they don't know the law. These guys are doing a great thing getting the public informed (and picking up litter). The more law abiding citizens there are carrying weapons, the safer we all are.

Great to see citizens exercising their rights. I'm so glad to hear these people speak about educating their children about firearms. It's education and responsibility that make good gun owners and carriers for our future. It's a shame that open carry is so scorned upon, however giving the public clear and good examples of responsible gun owners is a great service that can only benefit our communities.

I'm a progressive, and my position on gun control is as such: people should be able to own firearms up to full auto assault rifles given that they have gone and done a course showing them how to use it and how to keep your home safe.

As for open carry, I'm undecided. handguns should be allowed as long as they're holstered, but things like assault rifles I'm a little split on.

@motorcitymadman2 No, they held the meeting across the street because it is well known in Vegas that you can't keep a firearm in your vehicle without a CCW in North town...the North Las Vegas PD is vehemently anti-gun and even has been known to confiscate guns from permit holders. (Illegally of course) I live here and I think it took balls to do what they did where they did it. I am way more afraid of the trigger happy cops here than I am of the maggots.

The best reason not to open carry is to not let a criminal know where your gun is.People who open carry need to be carrying holsters that the police use so that their firearm doesnt get used against them.

I love guns and believe in the right to OC and CC. The only thing that worries me about OC is the gangbangers out there.

The Clark County Park Police already promised us we'd be arrested and our weapons stolen from us for breaking park rules prohibiting firearms.  The park rules are void under NRS 244.364 but the police are above the law.
