  • I saw them around this time when i was a kid at a grand opening of a stereo store near my house in Granada Hills,Ca in Los Angeles. Rodney Bingenheimer was there also with Davey Jones of the Monkees and the Rolls Limo with the union jack painted on it. I got all their autographs but lost them sometime over the years.

  • I remember him saying to the young stripper "Go ahead sweety" or some thing very close to that and she went top less, he went to jail for that ,arrived in court dressed in prison stripes... I was only about 13 and got myself right up the front , bought a Coke for a pound, lots back then and had no fare to get home, and couldn't find my ride home either, it was a really good show after Little Richard and Chuck Berry stopped fighting over who should headline

  • Did Alice Cooper play this show? He keeps saying his name.

  • @tikidevil no Alice was not there only 'old' acts Chuck Berry, Bill Hailey, Joe Brown, Bo Diddley, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis (reason I went) Wild Angels, "gerden Party ' was written about this gig, memory loss can't remember who sang that aghhn senior moment !

  • @bonesamy: Your thinking of Rick Nelson. And no, the song "Garden Party" was not written about this gig. It was an incident which took place at Madison Square Garden in NYC. Hence the name "Garden" in the title of the song.

  • @tomthefunky you know you're right but I do remember being told that, call it an urban (and British Legand) I just spotted my self 5;34 front right, Black shirt white tie , L o l all these years later just a little figure but standing out, and I wasn't looking...
