I'm so glad I did this 12 years ago.. 3 months round S.E Asia, a year's working visa in Oz, 3 months in NZ. It was and always will be the time of my life.

I'm impressed. I just started backpacking this year and said they are a different breed of people. They are helpful, caring and sharing. I have a huge trip in the spring lined up and later in the summer, I have been invited to the AT to backpack on it. I will still be going to trails and camping here. A friend of mine as asked me to go snow camping once. Let it snow. I'll be ready. Thanks for the video, we are family...

This pretty much sum up my bacpacking trip in South East Asia...Most of my friends and co-workers don't know why I would want to backpack all by myself, instead of staying in expensive hotels, i opt for the hostels and living out of a backpack for like 2+ months at a time. You are right, making mistakes, getting lost, not knowing what lies ahead, it all feels right and other backpackers at the hostels feel like you family and best friends...Thank you so much for this video,

Thanks for sharing, you summed it up perfectly. I was unsure what to expect but the backpacker community rocks - Karma exists and we all live by it!

To anyone considering taking a trip don't be put off. You're never lost, you just dont know exactly where your adventure is taking you, roll with it and in the end even bad experiences can make great memories!
