  • I don't believe our family ever missed one of Roy Rogers' movies. My parents both loved the singing and good wholesomeness of the lifestyle portrayed by Roy and his lovely wife Dale Evans. They were the heros and the examples that set the pattern of the way we were supposed to act and live, to treat one another and all our animals. We learned all their songs and played them on the piano while my father accompanied us on his harmonica. I am so grateful for all that. It was wonderful.

  • Roy was so handsome and Dale was so beautiful.

  • Roy and Trigger was one of my favourites when I was a kid. So was also Zorro, Lone ranger and Tarzan( Johnny Weissmuller)

  • Looked forward to the saturday matinee with Roy and Dale, many thanks.

  • His yellow rose of Texas was the beautiful Dale Evans. For everyone's lives they touched along their many trails, hundreds of movies they left for generations to come, true love of all children (no mater their race, religion or dis-ability) and their talent to movtivate and cherish animals like no others, thank you wherever you may be watching down on us. You earned a timeless place in our hearts as no others. There are so many untold stories yet to be shared by your friends and fans alike.

  • I may be young, but my uncle sometimes buys DVDs of classic tv shows like The Beverly Hillbillies, Our Gang, and Roy Rogers. And we would sit down in the living room with my grandparents and watch them.

  • Esse marcou a minha infância.

  • Remember when kids had manners and heros and taught to do the right thing people like roy rogers helped form goodness and morality in young people we could use more like him again roy you will be missed thank you for helping make me the person i am today

  • @cabbywest Kids today still have heroes. How about Captain Jack Sparrow?

  • @numbnuts234567 dude, that doesn't help. He may be a hero to some kids, but he isn't the type of role model cabbywest is talking about.

  • I watched Roy Rogers and Dale Evans every Saturday morningn whenI was a kid!!

  • Roy, I watched you faithfully as a young boy on the old black and white tv. You and Dale and Trigger your horse, always brought adventure, excitement and taught me that justice would prevail and the bad guys would never win. Now grown up and in my 55th year, I can say thanks for enriching my life and contributing towards my values and belief that doing the right thing, makes me a winner too. You were my hero then and still hold a special place in many a men and women's heart today. Happy Trails

  • very Good English!
