At least most of the dishes looked like real food. I really hate those places with flavored water, bags of scented hot air, and lollipops that taste like cheesecake-that's some pompous, gimicky, douchebag shit right there.

Tramonto comes off pretty cheesy and corporate in this clip ("The cuisine is very global"; "the ultimate in multicourse dining" -- it's nothing that'd appear out of place in a number of high-level NYC kitchens.

But Tru is indeed a serious restaurant. I like Gand; her dessert show on FN was enjoyable if a little too low-key.

This place is fantastic! Amazing food, great services and the Gale and Rick are lovely people. You wouldnt want anyone else to cook for you. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!!
