  • Interesting Ideas nonetheless...

  • The food isnt that amazing Ive been there and the waiters treat you like crap if your younger..

  • wtf is with all the hate?? (you the competition?)

    this guy is brilliant!

  • I would love to see Gordon Ramsey come here and tell Tramonto that he is not as good as he thinks he is

  • @jguskadoo He's probably gone further than you in life... Read his book and see what hell he;s been through. Also read Gordon Ramsey's book too... You don't know a single drop of hell what these guys went through. If you don't work in the restaurant business you won't have a clue... it's HELL!!!!!

  • At least most of the dishes looked like real food. I really hate those places with flavored water, bags of scented hot air, and lollipops that taste like cheesecake-that's some pompous, gimicky, douchebag shit right there.

  • Over a million dollars in contemporary art. I am so impressed, thanks.

  • This place is not that great

  • TRU!!!

  • I would only ever eat there for Gale's desserts, but then again, I'm a pastry/sweets foodie... >.> She just seems far more down to earth and REAL.

  • cheap decor

  • i want to work there.

  • Tramontos a bit of a pompous dickbag here

  • @shaveyourtaint a fat dickbag too.

  • @shaveyourtaint Agreed! A bit douchey.

  • @shaveyourtaint rick is always a big dickbag

  • @shaveyourtaint you mean like 99% of famous chefs. theres hardly a profession where people have bigger egos

  • it looks like chicago has really jumped onto the foodie map with barcelona and all the other megacities.

  • TYVM for posting this, as im really getting into the kind of cooking they show here, and Tru is a true inspiration for me!

  • beautiful restaurant

  • Tramonto comes off pretty cheesy and corporate in this clip ("The cuisine is very global"; "the ultimate in multicourse dining" -- it's nothing that'd appear out of place in a number of high-level NYC kitchens.

But Tru is indeed a serious restaurant. I like Gand; her dessert show on FN was enjoyable if a little too low-key.

  • Nice

  • This place is fantastic! Amazing food, great services and the Gale and Rick are lovely people. You wouldnt want anyone else to cook for you. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!!
