This was disturbing but I remember once seeing an anti drunk-driving psa as a kid one Saturday night where they showed a skeleton hand and a living hand reaching out and clasping each other and it said "drinking and driving can kill a friendship"... the way the bony fingers curled around the fleshy hand... I was afraid to sleep that night... : (

What a fucking load of shit!@!! It wouldn't have mattered how fast the chick was driving, if the other FUCKING IDIOTS had actually followed the road rules or had some sense of self-preservation, and LOOKED before pulling out of that side street.

The people who thought up and approved this ad should be shot, and the film company that made it should be disbanded for allowing themselves to make such a heap of crap ad.

Why do you keep telling me to slow down? You are assuming that just because I think this ad is bullshit that I automatically speed everywhere?

Can you not see that driving with due care and attention has a far larger part in the prevention of a crash? If that woman had been doing exactly the speed limit or 5km/h under, and left home 5 seconds earlier she would still have hit the people who went through the give way sign.

If those people left home 5 seconds earlier or later or drove 5km/h faster or 5km/h slower they would have been through the intersection and out the other side before that woman went past, or driven through it just after she went past!

This ad should be an ad to remind people to give way, and to be aware of their surroundings, not an anti-speeding ad!

Who says it wasn't? I don't see this as an either or... I see it as a both/and. Slow down AND yield. "Just" because you think this ad is "bullshit" My assumption: NOT that you "automatically" speed "everywhere"... RATHER that you do speed, you know you do, you know it's not safe, and you don't want to change your habits. Solution: Simple as pie, I'll wait at yield signs for you while your slowing down, and neither of us will hit each other. We'll have cake then. Yay

I exceed the speed limit when I consider that it is safe, yes.

Occasionally I consider it is unsafe to drive at the speed limit due to environmental conditions, in which case I drive slower than the posted speed limit, and no, I will not change either of those habits.

Don't be under the misconception that just because you are travelling at the posted limit that you are safe!
