Great review, thx. I had replace my droid 2 twice now and the firstt time I called verizon, I was told I wasn't eligible for an early upgrade yet but upon returning my phone a second time, im now eligible for a early upgrade WTF? Anyway, verizon mentioned that recommended this phone and glad I researched first..im definetly not an entry level user, soo I will just have them replace my droid 2 and wait a few more months when im eligible for a new phone...maybe something even better will be out.
@unixolsc I have used KVM and QEMU before, with Virt-manager, but Virtualbox is just easier, in my experience, to create and use new VMs. I should probably give those two a good fair shake again, though. Vbox gives cross-platform support, though, which is nice, so I can test at work as well with the same VM.
@unixolsc Ahh, missed that part of the question, lol.
It's been a while since I've read anything on KVM/QEMU, but I believe KVM/QEMU do some paravirtualization, so they can emulate the actual hardware you have for some equipment, so you might get better speeds.
i love swype, admittedly it can be annoying especially with shorter works like "to and "at" larger words usually show up correctly and it can save time with practice.
@joe4ska I messed with it more after doing the review. it's kinda funny to just draw random shapes on the keyboard and see what words Swype comes up with.
@thisweekinlinux Wost part is the repeated wrong words Swype dumps on you if you've allowed a misspelling to slip through. Actually of all my friends using Android I'm the only one that still likes it.
@jackclark1981 For Android? Oh, yeah. Of course there's Amazon's Kindle app, and Barnes & Noble's Nook app, but if you have your own PDFs or ePubs, you can use an app like Aldiko Reader. I'm a big fan of that one.
@emerybryant you can install a new launcher from the Google Market. There are a huge range, but some that I've used and like are ADW Launcher, GO Launcher, QQ Launcher, even Launcher7, which is a Windows Phone 7-like interface. You can install new lock screens (Agile Lock is a good one) and new keyboards as well.
I really enjoy your videos and have for the past 2 years. It is truly a shame that you have become a target to be attacked by OSGUI. Losing you as a Youtube partner was unfortunate. Perhaps Tim will find someone else that he considers a threat to his orientation and livelihood and will concentrate his harassment efforts elsewhere. Until then, hang in there and keep up the good work.
@Gatorman32656 I wish that were the case, but things have been going on for 1.5 years at this point. The only way I can make it truly go away is for me to leave entirely, delete my channels, and just not come back... :/ don't want to do that, though.
@thisweekinlinux I find it interesting that those people who clamor for acceptance and tolerance are the most intolerant of all. You were, of course, attacked because you posed a threat to him. Had you not been enjoying a high level of success, you might not have become his target. Using reason as a retort to a person lacking this quality as well as such a skewed view of the world is of no avail. Perhaps another target will present itself to take the spotlight away from you. I wish you well.
not just you. my galaxy mini has the power button at the same exact location, and it's annoying as hell. not to mention its craptastic screen, but that's a whole other story. at least it was free..
You would kinda hope Angry Birds would play smoothly on a 1GHz processor... especially given you can buy a $25 PC with a 800GHz processor that can play Quake 3 on high.
@supermecis Google Chrome has Flash Player integrated. This means that if you experience problems AFTER an update, you will need to get an earlier version of Google Chrome. Another solution is to just wait for the next update which will most certainly contain a fix.
@anonix27 Agreed. I've noticed that most phone-related cameras have mics that are a bit too "hot" (see the video on my second channel... it was done with a Blackberry Playbook)
Thanks, this was helpful.

Hello Jordan! Have you ever tried QEMU for testing distros? Which one runs OSes faster - VirtualBox or QEMU?

Maybe they had to put the power button there because that fruit company has some patent on better places for the button?

@SeltsamerAttraktor if they allowed for patenting something as stupid as button location, I think we're all in trouble...
