I'll have to admit that I didn't like Oro (or his "brother") before this video, simply because I think they bend their knees too much, but this fight was awesome and I now have more respect for Oro and Zog
Thanks! Oro and Zog definitey evolved a lot since last year, and even now have a large selection of moves that have advanced from this video. Since RoboGames is classified as "Wrestling" we went with a low stance last year - but since then we have found that an upright position is far more entertaining, and useful once one has the balance down. As it turns out, one can be more stable with the correct upright position than with a crouching stance.
These robots are both custom made - while one can buy the servos (25 of which are in Oro, 4-5 less in Aria) for around $200 a piece - one would still have to make the aluminum brackets, making each robot worth over $5k usd. The servos in question are the Robotis Dynamixel DX-117 and the RX-28.

Both robots are custom made. The silver one is Oro (the Farrell Robotics Humanoid) while the Green one is Aria - one of Team Robits robots.

are these custom-made, or are they based on a commercial model?
