Please. I'm sick of Rev. Jackson pimping the memory of Dr. King. Yes, Rev. Jackson was in the trenches of the fight for civil rights, but somewhere along the way he lost something - a vision of what the true Dr. King candidate would look like - so much so that Rev. Jackson was exposed on tape saying he'd like to "cut his [Obama's] nuts off".
So go ahead and cry, Rev. Jackson. While tired old hacks like you and Sharpton have made careers of racial division, men like Obama have sailed past you.

You know, for all the complaints about Jesse (some of which are legitimate, Jesse is a shakedown artist and a shyster) and complaints about racial division there are a lot of comments here from white people unloading their racial hangups about black people and their state of denial about the power of established white-on-nonwhite racism. Nonwhite-on-white racism has no power beyond personal unpleasantry, no economic or poliitcal power and no one in any position of real power to back it up.

That is not why Jackson was crying. he was crying because he saw his own power and influence fading away. Obama and Jackson are nothing alike. Jackson is an angry thug that blackmails corporations. Did you see Jackson and Sharpton during the campaign? No you didn't. There's a reason for that, they weren't welcome.
