  • They suck.

  • Stupid old fucks

  • My mother didn't like this movie either, saying it was boring. I think I liked it mostly because of the music and the animation, and I know that I definitely liked the beginning of the movie more than the middle of the movie because I agree: it lost some of the magic it had in the beginning by the time Wall-E and Eva were criminals, but I still liked the movie. Pixar seems to be trying to move their movies in a more serious direction, one that adults will, maybe, appreciate more than kids.

  • Lorenzo's one funny geezer

  • We love your show! We're totally hooked!

  • I would agree, I do believe they over sighted the serious tone the movie had embedded through out itself

  • The Geezers typically get it, but this time they missed the point. They wanted a fun movie; Wall-e wasn't a fun movie! It was really sad.

My own daughter cried watching this. She cried for the Earth, for the people on the cruise ship, for Wall-E and Eve.

It's the first time these reviewers have blown it.

  • hahahaaa!! the wall e products that added trash! funny

  • You two are so cute and intelligent - a breath of fresh air :)

  • Good point with the Pixar Trash, just goes to show that they just make movies for money nothing else, right now the Planet is a popular subject

  • Kids won't understand the movie i guess. It went over the kids heads!

  • heh quite hilarious, i love your videos!

  • I hate little kids, and I loved this film, this film was for kids without adhd

  • lmao! Margret ios so funny

  • Atonement is the best love story written in years, I say (though it's quite a bit of a tragedy, really).

  • hahaha so great, your reviews are fantastic!

  • I'm in the "masterpiece" crowd with Wall-E, but this is definitely a valid criticism about the second half of the movie. The first third or so when it makes you recall old Chaplin films is definitely the strongest part of the movie.

  • I would definitely be inclined to consider this film a masterpiece of our day, but not a masterpiece of all ages such as, say, The Godfather or Schindler's List.

  • these two are awesome =)

  • Even if I don't agree with their opinion (I didn't on Wall-E) I enjoy watching their commentary.

  • I'm enjoying these very witty critiques...

  • An axiom or postulate is a proposition that is not proved or demonstrated but considered to be either self-evident, or subject to necessary decision. Therefore, its truth is taken for granted, and serves as a starting point for deducing and inferring other (theory dependent) truths.

  • The best and most honest review I`ve seen about walle. Way overhyped, I left the theater a little dissapointed because of the praise of the critics, I was expecting a masterpiece.... it was just an OK movie.

  • "you're a cynic"

    Fantastic review.

  • The comment on the Wall-E toys is horrendous. Pixar makes the movies. Disney sponsors them. Disney makes the toys.

  • Totally cute

  • my little cuz, who is 8, went to see it wit her dad and then dragged me too it again!!! i liked it, but not a classic like some have said!! but a must see 4 kids!!!

  • @PerishBrave: I have to say, I fell in love with Eve's voice too! I really don't know what it is about it but it's very appealing.

  • Great review.

    Thanks!

  • ya'll are awesome!

  • when her voice really started to develop, i fell in love with EVE's voice. idk why.

  • "one of the better love stories between robots i have seen... this week" hahaaha

  • great videos, keep them coming

  • Bah, I still love you guys but I... disagree with you both a lot on this one.

  • Wow. I am really surprised that they didn't 'get' this movie. It really was about a love story between WALL•E and EVE. The side story was about how we ruined the planet for our own selfish pleasures and consumerism. What too many people didn't realize is that the people weren't stupid, they were just detached. They were also fat because of atrophy and bone loss (and yes, lack of physical activity), but mostly the first two as a result of living in space for generations.

    Alas. I LOVED it.

  • It's worth a re-watch. For all it's lack of dialog, Wall-E had an amazingly complex and well thought-out story and back story, many elements of which have to be inferred from pantomime scenes or background elements. Nothing is given to you straight, so, it seems like there are some vague plot holes and inconsistencies at first, but all the loose ends are tied at some point, it's just sometimes it's hidden.

  • Isn't taking things to extremes what animators do? Cushioning a disturbing exaggeration within a love story may have been the most child-like thing in a movie that was not about trash or robots, but rather isolation, connectedness & hope.

I saw the 2nd half as the same. Robots continued filling the gap in personality & relatedness while humans acquiesced to soul-less isolation. While less melodramatic, the romance between Wall-E and Eve was so touching that I didn't feel any lack.

  • This movie truly was a masterpiece. Truly.

  • Funny, but you can't use this review to much. Allthough they have understood the story especially the guy knows what it's about.

I have seen the movie, thank god. To those who havn't be aware of SPOILERS.

    Wall-E rox!

  • Great review. I'm very interested in seeing the movie now, to see for myself whether it really is as good as everyone says, or whether it's been so well received just because it's a Pixar picture. I get the feeling I'll end up with similar thoughts as the Geezers.

  • They again did a great review!! and they are right Presto gave my fun than the movie did for kids! :)

  • A few comments: How old children need to be? For children, they watch movies for a different reason. My 8 year old daughter LOVED it, but because of the scenes and small plots, not the big ones.

The plant signified that the sun was getting through and the Earth could support life again. Little about the plant really.

And I'm one of those people who thought the love story was awesome.

I really enjoyed the movie. Even though your views aren't mine, I love how you presented them. 5 stars.

  • sigh i find it somewhat sad that a lot of people consider animation merely directed at kids..is it that hard to think of animation as a medium rather than merely cartoons for children? still, i understand what they mean about kids not getting it (if they mean very young kids though)..I'm curious though, is Wall-e distributed as a children's movie or is it merely the movie rating that gives it that image?

  • so WALL-E wasn't a disney movie?! im sorry but i didnt see it lol. i think the only child movies that i can see are the classic disney animal movies like FINDING NEMO (its my favorite)

  • Wall-E was a good movie but I sure expected a lot more after hearing all the praises. I can't agree with the general notion that it's Pixar's best but still it was a good one.

A little bit off topic here but Marcia, I wish you read my screenplay :)

  • Wall-E was AWESOME

  • I always get so happy when I see a new video from you two show up in my subscriptions! :) Whether I've seen the movie, agree or disagree, you never fail to entertain me!

  • ditto

  • great stuff1 "one of the better love stories i've seen between two robots this week" LOL!

  • im hitting middle age, and i loved the movie...my nephew is 7, and he loved the movie...bet that 9 year old is a moron...and i love the geezers, and hope that the houdini film is a hit when it goes wide

  • Great review! Totally dead-on, thanks!

  • Good stuff!

  • I wouldn't consider this to be one of your better reviews, but I was entertained nonetheless.

  • Marijuana plant! LOL!

  • Brilliant as always, thanks guys.

  • Way to plug your movie. Not cool. Nice Review though.

  • I really hope the review Drak Night

  • axiom :

    1. a self-evident truth that requires no proof.

    2. a universally accepted principle or rule.

  • Rotten Tomatoes should put up:

"I would say it is one of the better love stories between two robots that I've seen this week."- Lorenzo Semple Jr; Reel Geezers

  • Best movie this year.

  • it has a real life lessons. but kids aren't going to understand it. but that doesn't really matter in my opinion.

  • Actually, it's Eve. Not Eva.

  • does it make you feel better to correct the elderly?

  • no, I only said something because so many people are saying it incorrectly, even on the Disney Channel, and I think it's disrespectful to the creators of the movie to have their work mis-interpreted, and represented incorrectly. It's just like if someone prononced your name wrong, you would nicely correct them with the correct prononciation.

  • chill out i was kiddin

  • You two are the best

  • There were a lot of kids in the theater asking their parents what was going on...it definetly went over all the kid's heads

  • Nevertheless, I always enjoy your reviews. I just saw your Pretty Poison. Strangely, I had never seen it before.

  • Oxiomoronic. Or is it axiom moronic?

  • I loved WALL-E. Thought it was a great social commentary. Apparently the conservatives hate it, because it appears to be anti-big corporation.

  • i agreeeeeeeee. also wall-e represents our motivation to do act with love.. and the captain embodies the passion for our planet WE should have.

  • Fat people hate it too; because it shows how lazy fat people are.

  • i love these ppl

  • I loved the first half hour or so...but after that, it really lost my interest. My wife liked it a lot though.

  • You know what? I value your opinions...It's true-blue. Thank you for sharing.

  • Yay, I'm glad you guys reviewed this.
