No I abhor many of the Yankee accents also - one of the reasons I watch/listen to very little TV! I was just stating my opinion. Hers reminds me of those old British movies where people sound like they have a mouthful of money. There's a difference between snobby-sounding Brit accents and what I personally appreciate .... it's in the inflection!

Having been raised in the UK and also visiting there later her accent strikes me as rather snobby. It's not the pronunciation but the inflection that bothers me. I enjoy a good English accent such as the one Elizabeth Taylor had as it was not haughty, however, Taylor's accent may have been modified by her living in the US for so long.
