I'd honestly love to learn how to play autoharp like that... In college, my department head is a huge advocate of autoharp for music therapy, and we've all tried to do something like this. But they're heavy if you don't have a strap or something...

also, instead of major, minor, and major seventh chord lines, it would be better to have major, minor, and half diminished chord lines, so you can make a C7 by pressing C+Eº buttons, and you can make a B diminished seventh chord by pressing a Bº+Dº for exemple.. and, in case you want a full chromatic scale open, you just have to press like.. 4 buttons maybe

think about it, making autoharps like that lets you free to play ANY harmony with some study

hey, ill give you/your dad a nice idea since he makes autoharps: the normal autoharps have all chromatic open strings, and then mutes the ones not in the chord you want to play. but that way you couldnt play a C with 13 (or Am7) or other tensions in chords.

but if all strings are muted, and only certain strings are unmuted when a button is pressed, you can combine the C with Am button to make a Am7 / C13

also, pressing C+G7 button you would have all C major scale notes!
