  • one word ... British

  • Oh bloody hell..!!

  • its all part of boating lads,..enjoyed watching this vid,..reminded me of me and my m8 when i launched my 14 footer lol

  • If they have this much trouble taking it of imagine how much trouble they will have to put it back on to the trailer, dam they have no chance. lol

  • @megabreeeze Never went back on the trailer. Left at moorings until sold 2 years later. Actually it is much easier to put boats onto trailers there. Have done dozens now. Have a look at the other vids. Empty trailers are pushed straight in, if the towing vehicle can't go in the water. Simple job to pull out with a strap.

  • Don't suppose anybody thought of jumping in and powering it off the trailer?

  • just dont launch it daaaa

  • FACE INTO PALM

  • Just go to get your feet wet boys, two fo you in the drink and you would have had it off. It is an ugly ramp however..

  • @beac310 It's a non-tidal river. 10ft deep in the middle and 4ft on the bank. Plenty of water for a boat with only 1 1/2ft draft.

  • after watching this , I just have to toss in my 2 cents here being a fellow boater even if I'm 1/2 way around the planet from this floundering mess . . . that's a heavy boat , the water is not deep enough , knowing all this . . & if this was the last place to launch the vessel , I would have tied off a secure land point self made Steak/tree/etc ... tie the boat off to that point at the stern , then pull the trailer out from under the boat

I'm so glad I will never launch a boat on a mud ramp !

  • @lolahavasuaz Without realising it, you've found the problem. It's an old, little used concrete ramp. The lower part is covered with mud, hence the problem of trailers not running freely down it. My friend now owns it, so 9 years later we have fewer problems, usually launching boats with a tractor. Have you seen part one and three? and my other vids at the same place. Link to my website with my boating tales on my malcoflincoln homepage.

  • needs a backwards rocket launch system, with explosive bolts on the trailer. thats what they need.

  • looks like there is a crocodile in the background :)

  • That is one stubborn boat!

  • plonkers!

  • @lutonroy Me or my mates who towed me and took vid LOL.

  • OMG! I'm hollering at my computer to just push up the bow when trying to push it off the trailer.

If this wasn't so funny, I'd have an aneurism.

  • @rreidnauer yes i thought the same thing. him and his mate there just need to lift the bow up off the trailor and float it off.

  • Pendejos

  • This video should be titled "Spinal Tap launches a boat."

  • what body of water is this i am american and it reminds me of louisiana

  • @shotgundrumboy It's the Witham in Lincolnshire UK. Navigable from Lincoln to Boston. Southrey is about a third of the way. You should be able to find it on Google Earth is you want to take a look.

  • You need to fill up more water, LOL (: Or throw anchor some miles away and put van on first gear , rev to 6000rmp and let the cluch slip your boots. LOLOLOL.

  • Go on Malc..get yer back into it lad...'its going'

Got me giggling watching you lot faff about....what a carryon!

  • great video, lincoln here too and just got a boat. What have i let myself in for??? Where do you go?

  • That boat weighs over 1000lbs. I think that it WILL take a bit more perseverence! lol

  • hahahaha....love it!!!

  • Not supposed to glue a boat to the trailer.

  • @audaciaman1 ROFL brilliant comment......started my day with a smile :D

  • @MalcOfLincoln

They may have the boat straped to the trailer in the rear

  • Its the red green way to launch a boat

  • you have no motor in the boat? Lol use it then

  • @TheUnleashed1994 ops ddnt see u had no oil

  • 5.55 "is it sinking" classic

  • @davis1000000 My mate's humour to a T.

  • they did it im so shocked that that realy did it lmfao stupied as fuck tie the boat to a tree and pull the ramp or back in the water

  • to me to you

  • I've met an awful lot of people in my time, and most of them couldn't be more peculiar if they painted themselves puce and grew tits on their shoulders. I've lived in Poland, for Christ's sake. But for all our shared culture, You are the oddest of the lot. I wouldn't want to be you, my old mucker. Not for all the bumbershoots in Hertfordshire.

  • Classic stuff lads, makes me proud to be british.

  • @ultrasonic101 Brilliant :D

  • RELEASE THE KRACKEN!

  • how did they get the boat back on

  • @Junkmanparts Never went back on that trailer....stayed moored on the river until I sold it.

  • Why don't they drive the boat off to?

  • @RichardEllisxyz Another video to watch is Southrey to Shortferry which I made only a couple of years ago, and shows the trip to the lock I had to make that night.

  • @MalcOfLincoln looks like theyre launching into a swamp. if the Romans navigated the Witham river they must have avoided this area or used rafts.

  • @RichardEllisxyz It's actually a 10ft deep river. If you look up the river Witham, you will discover it was made navigable by the Romans when they invaded Britain, around the time of the birth of Christ, so has been navigable for large boats for over 2000 years. See my video 'The Grain Run' a brief preview of a 2 1/2 hour DVD I have.

  • how come you couldnt just make it easier for yourselves and attached the coupling of the trailer on to the tow ball of the car? or does the car not have a tow ball which i would be totally surprised if it didnt.

  • @jacobtyler87 Problem was it wasn't my van so couldn't be driven in the water. Never expected to have a problem with the trailer running down the slipway.....however 9 years later, and using the same slipway to launch and recover boats, often using the tractor you see in my other vids, mud and debris stop wheels, as it is rarely used. As I am now good friends with the chap who now leases the slipway, we have a long bar with a ball on one end, and a hitch on the other to avoid such situation.

  • is that british ?

  • @EASB24 Yes

  • Is this the BBC version of JACKASS?

  • so... this is the British way to launch a boat??

  • so... this is the british way to launch a boat??

  • you know your doing something wrong when you hear them say i should of brought waiters to launch a boat

  • trailer extension needed...

  • Is it this much fum putting it back on?

  • @dasturdlydan Never put it back on. Sold it 18 months later, and the new owner left that trailer in the garden of the pub he had, and when he sold the boat only a few years ago, I think? it travelled on the waterways.

  • Sounds like Obama talking with his fake Ireland accent

  • 4:21 lol

  • Who picked this launch?

  • @MrGuydudebro WATCH PART ONE

  • Oh boy this is painful to watch!!

  • watch?v=8OQJ4UrAVJw

and prepare for a visit to the The Scottish Fisheries Museum, see the video links and the pull down links and you'll appreciate your visit much more!

  • Was it really worth the $10 you saved by not using the boat ramp?

  • i think that grandpa with a huge stick got it on the water! if not him and his enormous strength you would have stuck there forever

  • I love the way British talk.

  • i could see that happing to me

  • @XJohnRageX It would if you had mates like mine LOL

  • Dude! Put the camera down and help the guy!!!!!!

  • why dont you put the camera down and help the guy?

  • Some people have no business being anywhere near a boat.

  • Man I thought this was a really bad Monty Python skit gone to shit...

  • Propper Job!

  • @Foxyon55 LOL exactly

  • might want to unstrap the back of the boat first

  • what language they are speaking ?

  • @ramanjogi british english i guess?

  • i feel like kicking his ass get in the boat hit the motor and throw it in reverse and have someone push it will someone pulls out the trailer if needed

  • @redhonda2118 Couldn't do that....first time in the water with the boat, and the outboard wasn't connected. See part one and part three for the full story LOL. Boat would stay in the water after this.

  • put some dynamite underneath it, itl go off right away.

  • If the goofy ass giggling like a girl scout would shut up and get down there and help his poor father out there would have not been a problem. Disgusting display of gross laziness and lack of respect. Was I the father I would be thinking of how loading it would be minus the giggling....

  • They could wait for high tide or someone to flush the toilet.

  • what a load of idiots,,,,,could one of you mouthy asses help that man.

  • DUDE, YOU HAVE THE PARKING BRAKE ON!

  • What kind of shitty boat ramp is this anyway?

  • at some point you wonder if any of you should even go out on a boat!!!

  • LMAO!!! not talking shit but just get in the fucking thing and and start the engine!! When the engine starts put it in reverse and back it off the trailer!!!

  • Am I the only one wondering why there is a roadsign behind the boat?

  • @JokkaBokka If you watch PART ONE all will be revealed :)

  • @JokkaBokka you are not the only one

  • @JokkaBokka its called a navigation marker? get it right

  • @JokkaBokka while im not sure what country this is filmed in, here in the US we have channel markers that are on either side of a dug channel that are either green squares or Red triangles

  • @bertman668 Not all green squares and red triangles tho.

  • @JokkaBokka Lol. I think it's flooded, there are train rails going into the water also.

  • Is this the Benny Hill show ?

  • @mcgaugh57 Great comment - you've started my day with a smile :D

  • Comment removed

  • good old norman 18/20ft cruiser :-)

the first launch is always the best lol

  • He's gone another 3" back....now we only have to do this another 72 more times to make up the roughly 18ftt and were golden.

  • @boonjob77 Brilliant LOL. If I had mates who were as good at helping as making comment....all would have gone smoothly LOL. One problem I've learned over the last 8 years since we did this is it is an old slipway. Trailers have to be pushed down once the slip is under water.

  • just Respawn, it's pretty easy :)

  • pinche video todo culero¡¡¡¡

  • mai tata dar prosti sunteti de dati in gropi .

  • How many idiots does it take to launch a boat? Cheered me right up watching this!

  • the boats name is salad... facepalm

  • @nicholasoccer123 The boat's name is NAIAD which means beautiful water nymph.

  • @nicholasoccer123 Excellent LOL.

  • for people who live on a island you guys arent rly great boat handlers XD

  • @PalingLcw Aren't we ......... have a look at my vid 'me playing with alyson' my boat now LOL.

  • All this from the country that gave us Nelson, Cook and Chichester! Points though for perseverance and making my day :)

  • @terrymiff ROFL - thanks for the comment, and making MY day.

  • titanic

  • Thought you were going to hit the sign. Any way enjoy your boat guys :)

  • @fireisgreat So did I LOL. If you go to my YouTube homepage there is a link to my website, click 'boating' and you can read of my adventures and misadventures over the past few years since I got that boat. That was the first time in the water with it.

  • "I think you just need a bit more perseverance" lmao! I hope I remember that phrase when a situation such as this presents itself in the future. see "Florida Gator Hunt 2007" October

  • @erikeverett Great comment - you'd have fitted into the 'team' well LMAO!

  • wiggle it, just a little bit, doubt i could have stopped laughing had I been there

  • @alderaforall I wasn't laughing at the time, but after a 7 year wait to see the vid, haven't stopped laughing yet.....despite being 'the butt of the joke' LOL. The chap who took the vid is heard again on my Bangerrod vids.

  • What language is that?

  • this boat isnt for a swamp

  • I like your attitude, I try to find a good time in all my outings and consider the rough spots to add to the adventure. happy sailing, from Florida to where ever you are.

  • @jvmalum Brilliant comment...you've made my day LOL. I'm in Lincoln UK and with the help of a few good friends, have had a great time these last few years.

Oh....and you enjoy better weather than I do.......except for hurricanes LOL.

  • I had to laugh at this attempt to launch a boat guys. What is the triangular shaped sign sticking up in the background? It looks like a road sign, also slightly twisted. You didn't hit it too did you? Loved it :)

  • @bengnet2001 Thanks for that.....just to remind people, this was 8 years ago. I had just got the boat, had never seen it in the water, and my mates that were supposed to be helping weren't LOL. Anyway it ended happily in the end, despite the engine having no oil pressure and I had to buy a new one. You might like to read of the whole saga on the boating pages on my website. Link in on my YouTube homepage.

I only saw this video for the first time last year, when I managed to transfer it to DVD

  • NO! ur all wrong... get in the hefin boat crankER up put it in reverse<‹< give it hell and thats it

  • Is that some of the oil from the BP oil spill in that water ?

  • @1972FordF150 This was 8 years before it happened.

  • these fellows need to find a proper boat ramp

  • @jvmalum All that is required is a pole with a hitch one end and ball the other. That way the towing vehicle can push the trailer back without going into the water.

  • @MalcOfLincoln I've thought of such a device, do they exist in stores or have you used or ever seen one?

  • Is that the river Severn? It looks dirty enough to be it!

  • @Alex1M6 It's the Witham, at Southrey 20 miles from Boston. Sometimes clear as a bell, others muddy and yet others full of weed.

  • @Alex1M6 get up on the trailer and put your back into it you dumbass

  • @tuneafish27 Can't I've a lower back injury and had overdone it already.

  • wow all men and all afraid to get wet.

  • @h8rstyle I can't swim LOL

  • all you had to do was stand on the trailer and push the bow up and backwards.

  • sooo tell me why you are launching a boat, with no vehicle hooked to the trailer? i just dont understand the logic in that.

  • @71highboy - I'd had to get someone to take it for me, so the vehicle couldn't go in the water. We didn't have a tow-bar extension so hoped it would run down the slipway, held onto the van by a strap. Under the water the old slipway surface must have crumbled, so is full of potholes.

  • Dang, next time use a better boat launch,

  • The trailer is for a 12 foot boat.

  • @jonesgerard NO IT'S NOT......read my previous answers.

  • @jonesgerard Ahh ok, I went to your blog and read all about it, quite an adventure, boating always is. VEry good blog too.

I'm in US, it gave me an idea to take a vacation , rent a barge and do the cheshire ring around M/C , I'm from there (40 yrs ago)..next summer.

You don't have an email on your blog.?

  • what kind of boat is das

  • @youngestpilotinGa

It's an 18ft Norman - brilliant little boats that will take big engine.

  • It's a non tidal river. Only time the water comes up is if there is a flood, about every 2 years, so quite a wait LOL.

  • @MalcOfLincoln is that the Todd Say halo to Toothy

  • try.....hightide

  • I bought the boat with the trailer, and towed it with a hired 4x4 pickup. The boat towed beautifully, but was properly on the trailer. It had to be moved further back for the short trip to the river. Look at part one and you will see it towed well.

Yes the boat never went back on the trailer, which I believe was only to sell the boat.

This video is now 8 years old, as I have only just managed to get it onto DVD. I've now launched many boats without problems.

  • Im guessing that trailer was to get it to the river on a once off sort of basis? are you mooring it there? I would hate to go through that drama each time I wouldnt want to use my boat and I prob would be shot at the ramp for taking so long.

  • is Mr Bean in this

  • LOL what a big septic tank .

  • i would have just left that turd there. ha ha ha.

  • @idahochas

    LOL

  • @ddsailor25

You happen to be wrong on all counts. It is an 8ft deep river or clear water, not a marsh. And Honda only make 4 stroke engines.

    Never mind.....

  • LOL

  • seriously who would want to motor around in that sewer anyway.. epic fail!
