This is very helpful! I was following the Janome CP !200 book for ending stitches on hem and their procedure is so more difficult than what this instructor has demonstrated...Thank You!
@edwina61sd Even amongst the pros, there are different techniques for the same functions. We are happy that you found us and that the demo helped! Happy Sewing!
I dont know how many times I have viewed this video- seems every time I change threads and work on different fabrics I want to see it again. Its really wonderful.
@troopielocs Hi. The Cover Stitch machine creates the professional two needle finish that you see on many knits, like t shirts or yoga pants. It would be part of the garment making process, made much speedier on a machine dedicated to this finishing function. Some sergers (like the Janome 1200D) will convert to the cover hem function. The CoverPro can also be used for a variety of decorative and embellishment type stitches with specialty threads.
Nice demo, thanks. But it's hard to see the results when using light-colored fabrics with white thread! Would be useful to use either dark fabric with white thread, or light-colored fabric with dark thread.
Well, I love this clip! It made me go and buy the machine! The lady at the shop was impressed with the fact that I already knew how to end my stitchings!!
This video zooms out way too much. I wanted to see the actual machine not the setting or the demonstrator. Also I think the comment about people not being capable of making their own tshirts was rather rude. I second a demo of all the different attachments.
I wish there were a demo of all the different attachments, including the seam guide and the elastic feet. There are four elastic feet. 2 for applying elastic underneath the fabric and 2 for applying it on top. I don't really understand how to use them inside a waistband casing or in any other way to be honest. Janome doesn't seem to offer much in the way of after sales service.
@anajinn Hi Anajinn- Thanks for the feedback on future video possibilities. We're always looking for new ideas. Please visit your Janome dealer that you purchased your Cover Pro from. They would be happy to help you through any glitches. Happy Stitching.
I think we could see the stitching better if dark threads were used with the light fabrics or visaversa. Other than that, I enjoyed hearing and seeing just what the CoverPro is capable of doing for me!
Very good intro to basic CoverPro functions and tips. Picture could sometimes be a little clearer to provide a good view of the stitches. Makes me feel like trying out the hem guide!
