  • Great Music,,,,well done,,,Tks.

  • ich liebe es, eine wunderschöne bar mit absolut geiler live-musik...ich komm gern wieder

  • @Mutschekiepchen4 Das finde ich auch!

  • I love Ireland ; )

  • We saw Mick this past week at Gogarty's. Third time we've been lucky enough to see him as of all the Irish singers out there in the, yes, touristy area of Temple Bar, he has been the best. I would find out from them when he's planned because of the four nights we were in Dublin he was only there once. Goes on at 8:30 and plays until 11:00.

  • I love being of Irish descent Galway descent!

  • This is about the most tourist ridden bar in Dublin...but it is a starting place...

  • I were in Dublin and in august 16th 2011 we've seen this talented signer had had a lot of fun singing, drinking and eating the fine food of Gogarty's :)

  • Great pub, not the best in Dublin, but really good. For me, the best pubs are not in Temple Bar, but in the REAL Dublin (I mean, far from the touristic part of the city)

By the way, it's very difficult to play Galway Girl in a real Irish style, mainly because it's an American song xD

Anyway, I think I saw this guy last month, when I was in Dublin, somewhere in Temple Bar, but I'm not 100% sure...

  • @KelticRasta Hi very interested in your comments and would love to know which bars you think are REAL Dublin Bars ?

  • @KelticRasta it's amazing because this song normally has a country feel - but they changed the beat to a jig and that makes it Irish, also he's playing it in the key of G so that makes it easier. I'm going to Ireland in September, hopefully he's playing during my visit.

  • I Love Temple Bar! :) what a feeling when you walk throug this street :')

  • Correct, Mick McNamara singing and Stephen Leech on banjo. I played with them years and years ago at Gogarty's. Great to see that they are still around!

  • Mick McNamara and bajo man

  • My wife and I were in Dublin in May - 09 and got to see this guy singing at Gogarty's. We are planning a trip back in a year or so and would love to see if we could find this guy or this band again. Can any of the local Dubliners help out and tell me who this guy is? Does he play often in the Temple Bar area? Thanks

  • @echothreefive Michael McNamara

  • @echothreefive I and my wife also visited Gogarty's in May 2009, and thoroughly enjoyed listening to Mick McNamara.
