Put out a slip n slide put water on it. Practice sliding in your bathing suit. My daughter had the same problem this is how I cured it. It made it fun and she wasnt afraid. She also learn to dive to the bases the same way.

Dont worry about sliding? If you have slider shorts on and leg and knee protectors, Just do it. My daughter is 12 and she was afraid of sliding, and she slide for her first game twice. She did it and she was safe. She was so excited and she keeps sliding. Of course she doesnt slide right. It is a break thru for her. It is no big deal really. All you do is run and sit.
ya i slid dureing the game and made the wining point, if i didnt slide i would of been out nd da game would have been a tie, but i live sliding i have all the eqiptment nd i can never stop doin it!
Dont get nervous about sliding. It is really easy. and not as scary as you think.

The pad thing probably can be ordered online but I really do suggest to put a slip n slide in heavy st austine grass because it is softer.
