I played all three Animal Crossing games, even what's supposed to be the latest and greatest, City Folk, however, it just doesn't give me that nice feeling when I played the original... the music sucked so bad in the DS version, Wild World, but for some reason they kept it in City Folk...

@Twisted4000 Ughhhh tell me about it. The original Gamecube version was just incredible. A very nostalgia inducing experience. I didn't hate the DS version at first because it was different from the original, but eventually it frustrated me to no end. The music was just terrible. Then of course Nintendo gave us that piece of shit known as City Folk. Basically the blown up version of Wild World onto the Wii with a few things from the GC version. The original will always be the best....

@Clone10 For me, WW's music is so much better. I actually can't stand some of the original animal crossing music particularly the night time music, although I must say this one track is pretty good. When it comes down to it though, I believe it's what you started out with. My first AC game was wild world, so natural wild world's music strikes many memories but for most of you, population growing was probably your first game, so all your memories are linked to that music.

Although Wild World fixed some of the gameplay problems that were in the first one (like having to send a fossil away in a letter to have it identified) Its moments like this that make me remember the good times I had with this game. Whenever I hear this music, I think of the good ol' days. If they could bring this music back somehow for Animal Crossing 3DS, that would be amazing...

I think this song's purpose is to make you feel better about the rain.

Because you would wake up expecting a nice day in animal crossing but you'd get rain. But in return you'd get this nice song.

I love this song :3 It makes me feel so happy and cheerful. I used to play this game all the time! I would lock myself inside my room, drown myself in pillows and blankets, and play this game for hours. :) I loved rain it was my favorite. Cloudy and rainy days were always the best! That's why I love this song so much I guess. I miss this game :)

Man, this reminds me of when i was a little kid. and i would play this game all the time. and how i used to play N64 games like starcraft, mario kart, and such with my older sis and my cousin. and we would play final fantasy 10 and mortal kombat etc for ps2. now they're all grown up and we dont talk as much, we used to be like best friends. i hate xbox, wii, and all this new shit. being a kid was awesome now im a teen. Man, Growing up sucks...

Animal crossing is by far the best video game music out there IMO. it's soo calming, and it kind of leaves memories in you head :D not to mention the graphics are just fantasic, it gives the fame such a calming feel to it :D

Besides the theme of the city in animal croosing city folk the background music sucks in city folk. the gamecube version had much better music. I have a special place in my heart for the original animal croosing game. It was actually one of the first video games i had ever played! I love this game soooo much!

when my daughter was 6 she used to like for me to come and watch her play AC when i got home from work. she had this little chair in her room she would sit in and i would lay down on her bed. if the rainy day music was playing, i would be asleep in like 5 mins. those were the best naps ever!

I liked the Gamecube version the most like many others. I remenice of waking up on a sunday morning and plaything this game all day. And the music Just makes me think of doing the fishing run twixt the sea and Nook. When I got Wild World I was disappointed at how small the map was.
