Illamasqua Haul - Powder Eye Shadows, Blush, Eye Pencils, Lip Palette

the lip palette looked pretty despite the smushy problem lol i ordered a blush & 2 eyeshadows from sephora but haven't gotten them yet.. how are you liking this brand so far?

The products are quite nice! I can't really say they are any better/worse that any other high quality brand I have used though ;) Very comparable to most others.

I love the look of the shadows and blush, but the thing with the lip palette I wouldn't expect at those prices!!

I think its cool that you do haul videos in your nightgown and eyeglasses. You still look good! ALSO.... if I got a brand new lip palette that had smushed product in it, I wouldn't take it as well as you did! Bravo, dear.

Copper is a dark red-orange (the second fat pencil you used), and bronze is a dark brown-gold (first fat pencil you used). :D:D:D Lovely haul. I checked the website too. It's AWESOME stuff. :D

Well, their website is impressive even if their makeup quality is not lol. I really like the manicure design videos.  The art production and design on their looks is absolutely amazing.

They certainly have amazing ideas & graphics up there! I think if you're able to get this stuff easily (UK people) it's great. But it's just a bit too much to be shipping into the US with the crazy exchange rate we have!

I was SO hoping for some WOW factor with these. The packaging is cute & unique & it's fun to try something new & different - but that's about the extent of my "Wow!" =) LOL

i was subscribed to you, but not anymore. the reason being is because you are running out of ideas on how to do ur make up. you order a shit load of make up all the time, but for what, if mostly all your looks, look the same! theres no WOW factor on how you do ur make up, maybe you should just give up for a while until you have new ideas!

It's too bad you don't live MY life & know I work 80+ hours a WEEK & do not have time to sit here dictating makeup videos to you 24-7.

What you don't see is me using all of these products every day in my personal life away from YT. YT is a HOBBY & nothing more. The looks I do here are looks I wear daily. You want face paint? Go elsewhere, it's not what I'm about.

You don't know how much makeup I own! Everything I do not use I sell dirt cheap or give away free!

I can not suggest anyone from the US desperately needs to get their hands on them. We have much nicer & more affordable choices closer to home.

For UK people, they may be the best way to go though ;) I don't know what's easy to get there.

Thanks! Seriously Ben Nye is the way to go! They are very affordable overall & the quality is far superior to any high end brand I use. The pigmentation is absolutely killer! It's not just "clown" makeup - they provide everyday-wear cosmetics too, foundations, powders, basic eye shadow colors, etc. I guess some items are pricey, but overall, I think it's comparable to the prices you'd spend for drug store items.

I'd definitely go with Ben Nye for eye shadows & blushes. Mascara is nice too!

The cancan was so pretty! I love purple colors so much. :D Aw for the lip palette I hate that. I always end up nicking my chapstick with my teeth then it tastes nasty.

I would say, if you live in the US, save your money & buy something more affordable locally. It's not worth the price. You want fabulous cosmetics? Buy Ben Nye! LOL

WOW that blush looks beautiful. Spray the lipstick nail marked one with isopropyl alcohol. I've been thinking of ordering from Illamasqua, but they were out of so  many products when I looked like a month ago and I want it all on one shipping charge. Excited to see you use the products!

I was a bit disappointed with the items. I heard such good things, but I find they are equal quality to all the Nix'ie stuff I use daily. Really not worth the over-inflated prices. Plus, the item selection available to the US is lousy - I don't understand why it's SO restricted! Makes no sense.

Buy them if you just want to try something new or think the packaging is cute. Just don't expect uber amazing stuff LOL It's the same as the rest ;p

They have beautiful products, but hard to get in the US. I cannot suggest buying much from them, it's overpriced & really nothing different than any other cosmetic brand. About the same as Nix'ie. I'd recommend Ben Nye over them any day.

If you are in the UK, then it's probably a good brand to go with. Just too expensive to send to the US with the exchange rate & all. We have many more affordable brands here that are just as good if not better.
