@busycloud77 I'm not sure about the xfader but i think it means the way the sound travels through the fader - may vary from mixer to mixer but regardless of that you should use your faders for each channel to mix in tracks not the xfader as it gives you better volume control & is good practice. Yes there is no power button, just use an extension cable with a switch on it. Good for scratching & mixing just don't go to hard on the scratching or the Xfader will wear out. Goodluck.
Hi there, I have recently got myself some technics, and Im on the hunt for a mixer. This is one I have got my eye on. I want to be able to run Traktor scratch duo through it too (with the timecoded vinyl). Would I be able to do it? If so, how (what leads will i need). Sorry this might be obvious to others, but all the tech-talk is confusing to me…I just wanna get up and running so I can play some tunes :) thanks x
@LaurenRoseUK yes traktor will work with the mixer. the only extra thing you would have to buy would be a pair of phono cables - the ones with red and white ends. but im not sure if they are included or not but apart from that its really simple to set up. Will def come with instructions in the box. Give it a go - if you need more help leave another comment
Im interested in starting mixing and this mixer is the only thing on my mind. what else is required to start mixing music? Do i need a cdj? and two turntables? Or could i just use 1 turntable?
Hiya, i'm really interested in getting into mixing, and i was thinking about getting this as my first mixer.
But i was just wondering whether you could help me out a little bit. What do i get with the mixer, is it just the mixer or do i get wires and stuff.
Also what else do i need, i know i need a pair of decks, but is there anything else i should buy before i get going. Your help is appreciated thank you :)
@tiberseptim100 yes this is a good first mixer and a good mixer in general so i would recommend it. You will need some decks to start mixing, you have several options. You can buy turntables like mine, technic 1210s, you can get a pair second hand for about 350-400 pounds with some records thrown in from the seller. Second option is you can buy cdjs, decks that use cds, these are more expensive but have more built in functions. Lastly you could get a midi controller which is everything in one..
@tiberseptim100 but i dont really like them as they can feel a bit cheap but they are reasonably priced considering you get the decks mixer and software all bundled together. I recommend you do a bit of reading before you buy and see what your interests are such as scratchign etc as scratching on a midi controller or cdjs isnt running
@gussy24 Sorry i posted that on my brothers account. Last couple of things, i'm not really looking to do scratching, just like doing sets with a series of tracks, and adding effects like changing the EQ etc. So i think it would be better for me if i went with some turntables as i prefer them to CDJs. Should i also invest in some speakers or XLR cables. I think thats about everything, you've been a great help, Cheers Mate.
@Xess666 im pretty sure as i used it like 3 days ago through xlr and it didnt but it wa very loud so i may not have noticed. I think its just a generic flaw of the mixer

I have got the same setup. This is my second xone. I had to sell my first one because of a lot of traffic fines. There is no better mixer in it's price range.
Buy it people. Next year i will sell this mixer and get an Ecler nuo 3.0. Because i like to work with the big eq knobs and maybe 3 decks sl's
Just a question: is it real there is no power button in this mixer? By the music you put on I think you don't scratch, but may you tell me how the xfader is? It's quiet smoothy or is it something like a piece of rock? :)
@giostrajo there is no power buton. i pull the cable in and out to turn it on and off. I can scratch a bit and there is a button to change the curve of the x fader from smooth or for scratching. you can see a diagram of the curve above the button. look below the big red button, past the headphone control and its underneath that
@gussy24 Thanx a lot for the fast reply! But...WTF is a mixer with no power button?!!? :D These are the kind of things I can't understand...Anyway, I think it's solvable by using a self-made power switch and wiring it with the main power cable of the mixer...
For the scratch: if there is an adjustable curve, I think they have considered this option...In the worst of cases it's always possible to replace it with an Innofader: it's compatibile with Xone:22! :D
holy crap what camera is this!? i feel like im watching the avatar and live verseion edc with the audio and video of this camera!!! i should be getting this pretty soon!!! :D track id?! :D
really dope set up, i can tell you bump for hours on hours, i got the 1210's also, an i work at guitar center so hopefully i pick up this beast at the end of the month! diggn the filter.
@testdrive93 ye geminis are complete shit. The trac kis Robins & Harcourt - Revolution (martin h remix). On sale on chemical records, like £1.44 or something. And ye the mixer is really good, nice faders and overall a good build quality unlike a gemini !

Been researching this mixer to purchase as I am a 1st time dj. Seems like a great mixer and brand. But I keep seeing 2 things that I'm not sure on.
1. Seen reviews were folks say that the crossfader doesn't have a "thru" setting. What does this mean?
2. There is no power button... how do you turn it on/off..? Plug it in/Unplug it...?
I'm mainly looking to spin / mix DnB but definitely want to build some decent scratch skills.

i no none of you guys have asked how to mix but im gonna tell u lot any way
1. hold 1 tune on the first beat whilst the other one plays
2.when the other tune drops then let go of the one your holding the beat on
3.then get the two tune in time so when it drops it sounds good(u can try and get a double drop but its very hard :-P
999storme 2 months ago in playlist Uploaded videos
@999storme only one tune because its a demo for the mixer not a mix
gussy24 2 months ago
@999storme That's not mixing, that's beatmatching and it's the most basic thing(not very hard at all)
OZdsk 1 month ago
how come your only playin 1 tune
