How long will it take people in this country to realize that both parties have the same goals? Has Obama changed anything? Iraq and Afgahn wars still going. In fact, he additionally authorized cruise missileing Libya. Obama has spent more money. Gitmo is still open. Unless you are gay and want to join the military, w.t.f. has changed?
Lyndon Johnson began the raid on Soc.Sec to pay for the Vietnam war and the "Great Society."
If the politicians would keep their hands off the money, there would be plenty. Everyone says the "boomers" are bankrupting SS. What about all the money contributed by the "boomers?" Where did it go?
The problem is that the greedy Congress, banksters, and corporations are all in bed together to screw the middle class.
Totally true, and it's what the GOP and Fox News won't tell you. We can fix SS and medicare by raising the ceiling or totally eleminating it! It is a regressive tax and the very rich pay a very small percentage of their income into it while the poor and middle class almost exclusively support it!
@Prickerman How is borrowing money to support a system "fixing" it? So screw any kind of fiscal responsibility and get rid of the ceiling so they can borrow till no one will lend us money and then what? Will the program be fixed, Might want to rethink your stance on that.
@TheStrazy Borrowing money to fix it, you seem to ignore the facts guy social security isn't broke it's the politicans don't want pay the bebt owed to the system there by cuting programs they favor.. Like a bunch of dead beets whom don't pay their bills , I say force them to cut back their pet programs like defence spending and pay the money owed to social security !..........
@kamphwagon1 So if it is not broke why do anything to it it is fine the way it is, With only 1.4 people paying for every recipient in 20 years it will be 1 worker to every 5 recipients. Force people to pay , Force people to do whatever its easier to collect unemployment and not pay into it. The system is fine, Dont cut dont raise dont do anything to it, Why it will be gone in 5 years anyway. Lets try this, Be RESPONSIBLE i dont see the politicians lasting long.
@TheStrazy Youv'e yet to catch on to this manufactured crisis generated by the GOP /Teatards just as the debt limit was ... Your doing just exactly what they want you to do rant & rave over somthing thats got 20 years to fix and sounding like a fool doing it ,maybe you need to listen to the video comentary in repetition so you can understand social security is good for 20 years !......
@kamphwagon1 Sure it is a manufactured crises, The Fed is useing it to monetarize the debt and pay off the giant banks through loans while depreaciateing the currency. Not so hard to understand, Take off the debt limit and see what the next admin does. As depreciation occurs the money is not worth as much things cost more, SS is at set rates for seniors and it is good for 20 year but in 20 years when gas cost 40 bucks a gallon because the money is worthless then what good is that 800 bucks?
@TheStrazy Whats not hard to understand is they have borrowed from the program to pay for others from Social security surpluses over the years and the GOP /teabags are trying to cop out on paying it back to the program.. Theres no such thing as a debt limit congress decides what to spend on and the president can autograph it or veto, the horse shit over paying bills incurred cost us a down grade , thanks to the quibling inept GOP/ tea party !....
@kamphwagon1 Placing blame solves nothing, 40 years of bad policy has gotten us here from both sides of the isle. If placing blame makes people feel better so be it keep electing the same idiots who have gotten us here. Most of congress has been there for 10 years or more and they enjoy the show of watching people place blame while they spend your money on their friends. For 2 years the dems had complete control and guess what happend? Nothing, But if blaming lets you sleep have at it lol
@TheStrazyPlaceing blame may not solve it, but it dam sure lets you know whos at fault just as S&P did in their reply for the credit down grade. For the 2 years the dems faced fillibusters & all kinds of wrangeling over anything ,as for the 10 year people most have a little common sense unlike the new bee Teatards that Boeiner alows to cacus with the GOP that he can't control thats what caused the downgrade. Boeiner said he got 98% of what he wanted so he and the GOP/Tea own 98% of the downgrade!
@kamphwagon1 The downgrade was a long time comming no country can spend as we do and expect it to last forever, Its 40 years of bad policy nothing more nothing less. We export nothing besides debt and import everything we use. Its a long time comming and all the politicians can do it try to up hold the illusion of prosperity.
@TheStrazy The downgrade was due to no revenue increases S&P explaind it in their report, somthing Obama has been trying to do for years , along with the ineptness of geting the bills paid and the threat of default...As for American prosperity it left with NAFTA & alowing Chinese out sorceing ,and everybody thought Ross Peroit didn't know what he was talking about when he said if "NAFTA passes you'l here a giant sucking sound of jobs & industry leaveing America'' ..!
@kamphwagon1 Thats true, Nafta and the rest of the trade agreements have totally screwed us yet they are still there. Why, Because the richest in america are either in washington or lobbying washington for more money, either way washington is bought and paid for. It has been for 40 years and will continue for the forseeable future as long as we continue to elect the same officials there.
@TheStrazy I'l agree to the extent of no pundits and canadates are adressing the root of the economie problem ,no jobs and no industry to provide the jobs and the lobby problem that amounts to corporate facism... On the otherhand these Tea /GOP politicans aren't going to solve nothing but make it worse as there all smokeing the ''Koch" pipe of corporate profit by hook or crook irregardless of individuals rights or the polution they cause ,wanting to eliminate the middle class for profit......
@TheStrazy There is no rethinking my stance on this. It is you who should rethink it. Back in the 1980's it was said that baby boomers would not see a dime of SS. and medicare. So what did congress and Ronald Regan do, they raised the ceiling and fixed it. It is good until 2035 if we leave it alone. Unlike this congress that has been pistol whipped by the Tea Party. It is time for the rich to pay their share. If we end the bush tax cuts and raise the ceiling a lot will get fixed.
@Prickerman Bid difference between then and now, We cannot continue to borrow our way out of these problems. China, Japan and the rest of the lender nations are taking a good hard look at dropping the dollar as a global currency as they devalue the dollar every time the borrow. When they quit lending then what, What other options beside kick the can till they take it away do you propose. We do not have the manufacturing base to pay our bills as it is and it is irresponsible to borrow more.
@TheStrazy The solution is to eliminate the Bush Tax cuts. And raise the ceiling. Unfortunately the GOP and Tea Party can't see the light on this because, they are so busy protecting their rich cronies. I say America wake up. We can fix the problem. And yes politicians have taken this money to pay for other things, and yes we don't build anything here! These free trade agreements have sent all of our manufacturing jobs overseas. So Stazy You will never change my mind! Period
@Prickerman Yes i know i will never change your mind, You have fallen into the "Blame bush ill reelect obama at whatever the cost" instead of seeing that for the last 40 years our system has been corrupted by the same politicians you will vote for, You will blame 1 president, 1 set of 25 congressmen for the bad policys that politicians for 40 years have put into place. So i say to you expect no change, if you continue to elect these career politicians who have been groomed for the job.
@TheStrazy You are delusional like the rest of the GOP and Tea Party. This country has been corrupted by the politicians that you have voted for. The biggest lie that was sold to the American people was Saddam Huissein had weapons of mass destructions, brought to us by the Bush Cheney Regime! Eight years later with our credibility ruined and economy down the tiolet. How about all those free trade agreements? Sent all of our jobs overseas! Brought to us by the GOP and yes some Dems too.
@Prickerman LoL!! Im not for either party, The last 40 years. Thats carter, regan, bush, clinton, bushII and now obama, How dare a die in the wool democrat compare me to one of those 2 corrupt partys. Its people like you that will vote in anyone with a (R) or a (D) behind his name, Brainless to the system without ever hearing the policys. You are what they call a party voter, Brainless non thinking entitys that vote for the letter not the policy THAT is why we are here now people not thinking.
@TheStrazy Yeah, most pubs who voted for and supported Bush claim to be "Independents", yet continue to try and deflect responsibility from the ONLY party that has actively sought to destroy Social Security since it was instituted - the Repiglicans.
@TheStrazy No!!!! not brainless to the System by voting for only one party. The deomcrats have plenty of flaws, but the republicans are much worse. NAFTA CAFTA all of those free trade agreements, which many democrats also supported is what led us down this slippery downward spiral. I was a republican twenty five years ago until I saw what they are all about. Basically a richboys millionaire club, protecting their own and screw everyone else. Also hijacked by the religious right.
@Prickerman So basically what you are saying is "I will vote democrat no matter what",That is the blind brainless electorate that we have, There are plenty of you types on both side that us thinking voters who are untied to a dogma of party can actually read the policys and follow them through to conclusions. Not listen to who the media decides we get the opportunity to vote for out of 2 partys who in the past have made policys that screw us over for the rich. GE,Goldman sach's ringin any bells?
@TheStrazy GE, Goldman Sachs, ring plenty of bells! GE didn't pay anything in taxes and Goldman Sachs (plus others) the financial meltdown of 2008. I will vote Democrat no matter what? I could have voted for Nadir in 2000. He makes more sense than a lot of politicians, but a vote for him was a vote for Bush as proven in Florida. Of course Florida was rigged by the GOP political machine. I hate to say it but most of the time it is voting for the lessor of the two evils.
@Prickerman And voting for the lesser of 2 evils is the problem, We let the media steer the masses to "Allow" us the choice. What the difference between bush and obama? Both spend money we do not have, start wars, gitmo, patriot act, Get us more entangled in the middle east, bail out their buddys be it big oil or big banks, Sure we not have a "healthcare" plan,But dont know if youve heard this the gov is about to shut down again, no money. No money = no healthcare. lotta good that did.

In the UK we have a thing called the robinhood bill.... its to take 0.001% of each bank that would give us billions that could fix our debt crisis...... but the MPs wont allow it.
Why wont they help the poor? Well consider that the PM has lived his life in the upper class and most of his partys members are from the same background.
America...... the rich are trying to take over this world and its working... The middle and working classes of the world should unite.
More than fair given the fat cats got rich on the backs of working people, on their work and their spending. The money they have didn't jump in their pockets by magic, nor does it represent the labor of one or a few people.
Didn't TARP get paid back?

Actually it's just Socialism for the rich, and Capitalism for the rest of us. Communism doesn't play into it at all.
We have had a nice blend of capitalism and socialism in the US since FDR. They are two imperfect systems combined to make a better one.
Who can argue against police, fire fighters and public schools? Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid also works quite well.

the only people that should be allowed to sell insurance should be the ones providing the product or the service.

America...... the rich are trying to take over this world and its working... The middle and working classes of the world should unite.
Who agrees?
