Just found your videos and love them! A lot of what you talk about reminds me of my great grandmother, she was mexican, and catholic, but it was different then most, lots of superstitions and such... She was one of my favorite people!!

In the background on your altar there are what appear to be balls covered with single colored beads and a cowrie shell stuck to it. I know that the cowrie shell is a symbol of not only Papa Legba/Ellegua but also the Goddess, Femininity, and the Sea (Womb). I have came across things about voodoo/santeria using bead bracelets etc. to honor the Loa/Orisha. These look kind of like maybe conjure balls but what are they? how are they made? are they used to honor the Orisha?

I love the # 13. I find it to be good luck.

If you move into a new apt or house & if it rains, it's good luck. To me it means washing & cleansing the past & starting brand new. Also if it rains on your wedding day it's good luck

I have heard that Friday the 13th is considered unlucky, because the Roman Catholic Church killed the leader(s) of the Knights Templars on a Friday the 13th. Supposedly the Free Masons who are thought to have descended from the Templars, lead raids and attacks on offending clergy and royalty on Friday 13th.

Since learning this and learning about 13s magickal meanings, I dropped all residual fear of that number.

One superstition I can't drop is black cats crossing my path, what is that about?

@tortugo i hear that if you are a witch, a black cat crossing your path is considered lucky. if you are not a witch, its mostly superstition. im a witch, and black cats cross my path all the time. nothing unlucky has happend. thank god for that.

I have heard, if you see a spider on top of a doorway, it means unwanted visitor..I always salute magpies. For however many I see I will say aloud, (for example I see 5) '5 for silver'.. Never heard about catching leaves for luck before- But caught one today!!! Also I have had 5 leaves blow through the back door in the last 24 hours..? Blessed Samhain Krazyboy!

In certain esoteric/occult traditions it is the highest and represents divinity. Like for example Jesus and his 12 disciples = 13! It' represents source energy and universal consciousnes! Godly! I'm superstitious about Robins lurking around like they're trying to get your attention. Have a history of this in the family, with grand parents passing away etc. I will also always wave at a single magpie.

Oh my goodness I almost forgot about this. My grandmother youse to believe that if you walk into the house with a leaf stuck to your left shoe you will lose money but if it is stuck to your right shoe you will recive money.

Thirteen is a lucky number for me as well. I was born on Oct 13th so yeah it's lucky for me...I was born RH negative and had to have a complete blood transfusion and I was a very small baby 2 lbs 13 oz ( There's that 13 again!)

my family is irish so i was raised with alot of weird ones lol but one superstition i believe in is handing someone a knife is bad luck i always set it down and make them pick it up and also if a knife falls it means a man is coming(its silly but has happened a few times),if its a spoon then its a woman, if its a fork it could be a man or woman
