@liaiscool333 Kurt became a face on a genre, overshadowing his music unfortunately. Sonic Youth are icons and visionaries. Had Nirvana been less commercially driven, or less successful early, we might have seen something truly great. Or crappy. I'm just saying both bands stood tall, it's just that we don't get to compare the bands properly 'cause of Kurt's early exit.

@DrainedPunk That's because it's not a Jaguar, it's a Jazzmaster. They look similar, but the Jazzmaster is larger and has those pickups, as well as a simpler switching system. SY use tons of Jazzmasters.

@DrainedPunk If you're referring to Thurston's guitar, I believe it's a Fender Jazzmaster. Similar in appearance to the Jaguar; just different pickups, scale length, and sound. And Thurston plays it so well.

I, for one, think this video's filming was very well done. For those familiar with Sonic Youth, the band has always put out a new type of sound/approach to each album, while still retaining a constant effort to make disharmonic, often chaotic, yet contemplatively coherent music. And that is the quality I feel the filming style/approach was done in. In the overall "spirit" of Sonic Youth's nearly 30 year legacy.
