  • SONG:

Ren and Stimpy Soundtrack - Happy Go Lively

  • Did anyone notice the Xbox 360 Kinect in the upper right hand corner at 1:25? Wonder what they are using that for......

  • @hmhackmaster

You mean left. Spent ages looking for it ^^

  • rage quit at 0:26

  • HEY! Isnt this tune from Always Sunny In Philly!?

  • I hated this game. Always made me pee a little when the buzzer went off...

  • The fact that there are people saying that money was wasted doing this are just..... Hopeless? This was a pretty cool training piece and showed the precision the robot has. Seems like a good video to me!

  • I love the 1950's music to along with the idea of using robots for everything. Also who knew there were such cute girls in robotics?

  • @AkimboJoe You haven't worked in robotics if you are making that statement =)

  • I would hit that. SO. HARD. !

  • You can obviously see she hit the sides multiple times before she grab the thing.

    :S

  • I've used one of these being displayed at a medical conference at a hospital I work at...it's the coolest thing ever!

  • "Fired, so fired, so incredibly fired."

  • "This calls for a lab coat!" was my favorite part. This was a fun, wonderful way of showing off the da Vinci robot in action. Thanks!

  • Ahhh using super advanced and expensive technology for a board game..... Welcome to America...

  • Mon dieu .... avec ses petites barrettes roses comme elle est mimi *L*

Je jouerais bien à Docteur MESBOULES avec elle mdr ^^

  • I'm in love.

  • @jbdranger Dude, these are the same types of people who are gonna be saving your friggin lives. And that robot isn't operating on someone 24/7.

  • @jbdranger Oh you wanna know what the military and police do with bomb disposal robots? Race them, and even make pancakes with them.

    santafenewmexican.co m/LocalNews/Robot-challenge

    Those things cost $225, 000.

And doing stuff like that trains the technicians and demonstrates their versatility.

  • @jbdranger It's a training device you moron. Too bad you can't read or you would've noticed that.

  • @GcNexus11 So people are not allowed time to relax where you live? That sucks for you guys.

  • Chick is cute!

  • It had to be done, I suppose.

  • Funny how the Asian chick is the one operating the robot instead of the white guy. Asians and their natural talent at video games wouldn't have ANYTHING to do with that...

  • Kinect at 1:53. Now Doctors can telekinetically operate!

  • @mjsunkiter You're right. I wonder why it's there. Huh.

  • For certain a "donated" teaching tool (aka "write off") from Intuitive Surgical, Inc.. After all, its new technology and the more students who train on one, the more sales down the road to hospitals when those students graduate and become in charge of decision making for new capital equipment down the road......

  • how unprofessionally awesome XD

  • Use it to draw a circle with an etch a sketch and I'll be impressed.

  • A beautiful lady manning a gigantic awesome robot? Sign me up!

  • @Nurr0 She can operate on me with it! ;)

  • Humans are awesome...

  • This looks like a fairly legitimate way to use some multi-million dollar equipment.

  • @jarthos123 you are correct, people should train on real patients

  • @zaphoid33 Thank you for understanding my position. I mean really, why not simply train on homeless people?

  • But... the robot isn't using the attached probe... so it won't complete the circuit... so even if it touches the sides it won't set off the buzzer...

  • @sirbruce1970 Good eye, the arm wasn't grounded. We just wanted to show the dexterity of the tools. We could have grounded the tool, but because this is a 2 million dollar research device, we decided not to. :D Cheers, Graduate Students at Johns Hopkins Engineering

  • @sirbruce1970 Cpt. Obvious brings us all to our senses. Good job.

  • @sirbruce1970 But it didn't.

  • @sirbruce1970 Yep. The patient could die and you'd never know it.

  • Operation daVinci, in theaters soon! u guys should consider show biz after getting phd! nice video!
