Listen. He left because of his father and the fact that he was getting married and wanted to "settle down" because he was tired of being in a band and couldn't keep up. Also, he felt he wasn't getting enough credit because Derek was the front-man, and on A Lesson In Romantics he basically became the lead singer even though Jason wrote most of the music.
