none of you guys would of been making this comparison to Glenn Beck, unless Keith Olberman told you that. It's funny how nobody can think for themselves, and they always take Keiths words, and try to play it off as their own unique thought.
"Lonesome Rhodes is just like Glenn Beck. Glenn Beck should play Lonesome Rhodes."
You don't have to keep repeating it. We get the "joke". Oh, my side hurts. I can't stop laughing. How clever you are. Ha ha. I'm not a GB fan, by the way. I just think the joke isn't funny.
Andy Griffith before drug rehab..... All kidding aside this shows just how great and talented he really is... too bad he didn't get any more roles where he could show it...
When I 1st saw this back in the 70's I was amazed. Someone please leave that mic on so Pat Neal can let the tea party see Brigham Beck applying the Vicks under his eyes getting ready for a good cry. Beck & Judge Nappy sound like bipartisan reasonable fellas when they're on CSPAN. But when on Fox "News" it's back to work shoveling lies. Rachel Maddow admired Beck's radio show when she was in college. But once you sign the RNC non-disclosure clause & the 1st million there is no going back.
@danger0usknowledge Glenn Becks tell the truth. The truth to some seems like fables. I hope some one is good enough to pull this off on that leftist loser Obama. Too bad they missed doing this to Bill Clinton, the liar, loser and wife cheater.
@ARepublicanVictory - Beck tells the truth? Wife cheater? You mean like your man handsome Sen. Ensign? Like Ray-publican Gov. Sandford? It's like one of the editors for the WSJ once said to give away the whole right wing hypocrisy, "if a conservative is caught in adultery we will defend him..." I know, Clinton lied under oath & Cheney outed a CIA asset & got away with it. What's worse I wonder? Looks like you're in Jarad Laughner territory...shave your head yet?
@danger0usknowledge Democrats are still trash. Obama is the ultimate liar. The idiot talked about transparency while he tried to hide the fact that he is NOT AMERICAN. He also tries to hide the fact that he wants to keep plunging America into debt.
@ARepublicanVictory Like ah said, have you shaved your head yet in solidarity with your brother & "patriot hero" Jared Loughner? In the 1990's Gingrich was screaming *fiscal responsibility* Starting in 2000 Bush proceeded to SPEND EVERY $, EVERY EARMARK w/o any vetoes from Bush. Supplemental funding for 3 wars, Iraq, Afpak & war on terror WERE ALL OFF BUSH'S BUDGET & ON Obama's budget as of 6/2009. Obama was 7 trillion in deficit b4 he took office counting Bush's recession bank bailout
Firsthand experience of dictatorship and thought control left me with an abiding hatred of these. It left me with an abiding hatred of Communist philosophy and methods and the conviction that these must be resisted always. It also left me with the passionate conviction that we must never let the Communists get away with the pretense that they stand for the very things which they kill in their own countries.
A 1957 film from the Hollywood Left. Love Elia Kazan's talent however he was literally a card carrying member of the American Communist Party. Despite the disdain resulting from HUAC, his perspective never changed.
Was lucky enough to catch this film on TCM the other day. As soon as it was over, I placed my order with Amazon. I grew up in the 1950's and remember seeing this movie years later on TV. Andy Griffith was a huge star -- Broadway, movies, TV -- but it always seemed to me that he was under-utilized and under-appreciated. Andy Griffith was always a welcome presence. When you watch his work in "A Face in the Crowd," you understand how moving an actor he was. Thank you, Elia Kazan!
They did a documentary on this on Turner Classic Movies, the studio was investing in Andy to be the next great actor, the next Marlon Brando they claimed.
Had more talent then anyone in Hollywood.
But the Andy Griffith Show presented itself (through Danny Thomas show skit)
Andy loved it and took the role, hired his buddy Don Knotts and shot the studios dreams to hell
Anyway he said "I have to regrets, I loved that show, it was based on a rare thing, LOVE, every episode if you watch closely"
he's pretty amazing in this film!. and, see him and, johnny cash in 'murder in coweta county!' they're amazing!!!

This movie must have served as a template for the Obama campaign.
This clip looks like the inspiration for much of Tom Waits' persona.

@ARepublicanVictory? Trash is reserved for liars4hire
like Brigham Beck selling his *dream* gold mines by
telling everyone the end times are-a-coming.
They are always coming.-)
HOW DO YOU CONDONE SOMEONE LIKE THAT?
Gold just topped 1500 an ounce... did anyone
who bought a dream mine through Beck's sponsor
make a profit yet...OVER THE STEEP PREMIUM.
Do they have to pay again just to sell??? HA!
