Another Bruins fan here. I was scared for Stamkos last year. He's an amazing player and had shown nothing but class and pure skill during these games. As happy as I was to win the series, Stamkos and the Lightning have my utmost respect.
Bruins fan here. Gotta give Stamkos love for that. Without a visor that might have killed him and he was just like "it's the playoffs, I gotta get back out there, do some shit and put me back on the bench I gotta work"
@ROBLOXovicarlson Concussions are different than broken noses dumbass, imagine whenever you stand, whenever you exert any energy you start seeing spots and get dizzy, making any task difficult. True ignorant post you hethan you
@KaguyaShenku0 I know the difference between a concussion and broken nose. I'm just sayin' that Crosby could've gon back. Although he was havin' chronic headaches in March.
@CPriceKSteeg310 Depending on the person with the concussion, you can have headaches all the time or only when you exert energy. When Marc Savard thought he could come back from his concussion he started having head aches and seeing dots and eventually he started having problems with his memory which made it possible that he may have to retire.
@ROBLOXovicarlson you're comparing a brain damage with a skin cut or a bone abrasion? surely its much more painful but brain injuries are much beyond an abrasion in terms of danger. But i agree with you, both stamkos and ovy got nuts of steel
I think the only weak point with the Bruins is Kaberle. This guy been raised in Toronto's organisation of failure and losers. You can clearly see during any postseason game that he just want to play golf. Look at his stats, he's like -32.
Boston Bruins, Tampa Bay, San Jose...they are all a joke, like almost every other US team. The Canadians haven't won the Stanley Cup in 18 years, because teams like these have on average like 25 Canadian players out of 35 or so, with only 5-8 US players in their team. This whole Stanley Cup has become a joke, a big fake.
@mikehartman47 Don't forget about finns, ex Selanne played 2 whole seasons with broken knee and Sami Kapanen didn't even know where he was after that hit from Tucker -> /watch?v=1E1EaHOQre0 . I've also played with broken nose, jaw, dislocated shoulder and once i got puck in mouth and lost 5 teeth ( 7 minutes after and i was back in ice ) Also i'm half Canadian and half Finnish (:
Not gonna lie i would have cried after that, but atleast be glad it didn't hit him in the eye like it did to yzerman back in 04 playoffs, wish tampa won this round tho, not a fan of bruins
The boy is tough. Anyone of you would have been crying like a little girl after a shot to the nose like that. - took half the skin off it and broke it as well. Hockey players excel at being tough. I've watched a guy finish his shift with a broken leg.The only thing that even comes close is those weird Australian sports. Tough bastards - all of them
@2anzzzKing first off it was his elbow second he laid on the court crying all im saying is stamkos gets up right after breaking his nose and tearing his skin and not laying on the ice crying like rajon
@hockeydemon10 yeah stamkos would not be getting right back up if he didnt have a visor on thats for sure. btw whats more hard to play with, dislocated elbow or broken nose? what Rondo did was more unbelievable than what Stamkos did...
@2anzzzKing the puck got under the visor so it was like getting hit without a visor and sure its pretty unbelievable what rondo did but still a lot of basketball players are out for weeks on end just because of a sprained ankle and simple things like that
I thought it was interesting that when he came back out of the locker room he was wearing a full cage face guard. Um, wasn't it a little late for that?
@RabbiJason It's to protect his nose from another hit. If you break your nose and it gets hit a second time their is risk of dying. No joke lol. Something to do with the bone popping up into ur skull or something
Funny how Stamkos gets of the playing field faster after getting hit in the head by a 75mph slap shot than LeBron James or Dirk Nowitzki does after hitting a slap on their shooting wrist. I will be watching real athletes these next 2 weeks.
@dwt004 wow, so much fail in your comment. maybe dwayne wade and other basketball players...but tossing out dirks name in that is just irresponsible. maybe actually watch a mavericks game before you start spewing that crap. idiot.
@skankinjay. Actually I did watch game $ of the WCF, when Odom elbowed Dirk, and Dirk didn't even draw blood, yet it took him 10+ min to get off the court.
@Flurry642 i'm a crazy bruins fan, but to be hounust, a puck to the face, no matter who it is.. it's not that funny at all, i can see how you were into the game and all, but thats not that funny..
@ImpOverpower lol dude calm your vagina i was at game 7 and was soooo excited and stamkos is there best player i was also glad to see he was manning through it and continuing to play and ps BOSTON WILL WIN
i fuckin love hockey no matter how bad the injury is they get back out on the ice in baseball if someones finger is cut theyre out for a month hockey is a mans game unlike pussy sports like baseball
@harryknucles you do realize that the players with finger injuries in baseball are typically pitchers? they sit out because with hurt fingers, they can't grip the ball right or spin it the way they want, so the ball doesn't move, and they get shelled. it's better for the team if they don't play, considering if you miss a spot in the mlb, the ball will end up over the fence.
anyway, stamkos is a beast, & i'd have no problem seeing him in a bruins uniform
@PvtGermanWagz The Bruins make it to the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time in almost 2 decades, in a 1-0 game, and you think this was the best moment of the game. Are you fucking kidding me?
@sigmand Yes. Yes i do think it was the best moment of the game. There is nothing more entertaining than seeing Stamkos take one in the dome. POW, right in the kisser...... Horton's goal was pretty awesome too.
@juni172 Except hockey players deal with sticks, pucks, elbow pads to the face. I've been playing for 32 years and can tell you with all certainty, I'd rather take 30 punches than one puck. As I write this I have 18 fresh stitches in my face from Friday night pickup........and that's with friends. Hockey over MMA any day for toughness. Apples and oranges but hockey players play 82 games plus preseason plus possible playoffs not to mention summer leagues where they have a target on them.
@juni172 point well taken but mma fighters are trained to give and receive punches. Hockey players don't train for a slap shot that exceeds a 100 MHP hitting him in the face !
Stamkos what a beast. I thought for sure he was done watching that live, 10 minutes later hes back. What a tough SOB. Would fit perfect on the B's.
