really need to know, been camping for days'! does the npc scan only work when he spawn or whenever u get close

From personal experience NPC scan goes off when he's within range. Normally for me it has gone off if the rare was within sight of my screen. When NPC scan went off with Aeonaxx I couldn't actually see him at first, I had to wait for him to fly closer to me before I could tag him.

I got lucky myself... 3 days of camping and found him BUT a fucking guildie came out of nowhere and took him, so not so lucky.... it's oficially been 2 weeks today and I haven't seen him yet.

Oh hush, I did my fair share of research before I even started camping. I just got lucky, I was prepared to camp for weeks. Now the TLPD, that's another story. 3 weeks into camping, I wanna die.

If you're the only one on your realm that has it, it means you have a lot of bad players on your realm(as he just must have spawned a lot more than once since the expansion came) ;)

Your camping spot works if you're camping the north spawn points(he doesn't fly around the temple, he flies in circles at the six spawn points he has). You can't cover all six spawn points, so that's why some are telling you to fly around.
