Personally I'd be a little bit more selective about hitting people in the balls. especially if the attacker's left hand was 3 inches from my eyes. It'd be simpler to get ahold of his left thumb with your right hand from that position to gain control and remove the threat of getting your eyes taken out.

@trangenusa Hitting his jatz and crackers is not a guaranteed let go, there are some people who can actually (once the adrenalin begins pumping) can take a lot of damage there. The most effective way is to grab, squeeze, twist, and pull down (and try to pinch a bit of it in the fingertips/palm at the same time) either way, if he doesn't let go from that, he will move in the direction that you pull = down. Laters :)

That's why they always say "israeli self defense" in the titles and only dare to say Krav Maga in the description. In krav we use a similar defense when you're in the process of being thrown, but that's only if you already are going to the ground and can't help it. He's voluntarily going, and you can tell because he has the time for the groin slap. Plus he did the roll incorrectly according to KM standards

Guys I think the true problem is not with the mount portion of this demo, it's with the sweep 5 seconds earlier. I think that this kind of sweep is too difficult against a larger opponent to make it viable. if the attacker goes limp or sprawls then all you've accomplished is a more dominant position for your attacker. I suggest hammering more on the genitals until they let go, or if you have the strength, reaching in front picking up both legs and slamming the attacker on the ground.

This is not Krav Maga. The groin strike is the only technique from KM used in this demo. The last place I want to be with an assailant is on the ground. IMHO it appears there was no need to take this to the ground to remove this threat.

In some martial arts I see people bow to each other to show respect and humble... In boxing, since they get inside the ring, they just try to take down their opponents as brutal and fast as they can. I think boxing is just a part of martial art, itself is not considered as a completed martial art system. This technique works pretty good when no other option (the neck is hardly locked), even if the opponent is much stronger than you, I know and use this technique quite long time (5+ years); but I didn't know the last move to get up on the opponent, this is very nice :) (anyway, if you fall to the ground and roll the opponent over, if he doesn't know this technique, he is really suprised in most cases and looses the head lock).
