When I first saw Avatar, I gave the visual/music an A+ but the plot a C-. When I saw the Collector's edition, I wondered WHY they left the school part out and the drums of war scene. There were a few of the dleted scenes that helped the plot that could have been left in. Anyhow...with all of the scenes that supported the plot left in, I could have easily given it an A. Sure the movie would have been 4 hours, but they could have released it in 2 parts. Plot doesnt matter much these days...
@a50745 interesting. I also thought a few of the short scenes they cut out were so helpful, but I also sort of just "got it" the first time, but I could definitely see how some of the deleted scenes would have helped some people like it more.
Cameron looks the same with or without the hippie look including the beard. It's just a fantastic awe inspiring movie ain't i right? If you consider it to be like a live-action cartoon, i'd say it's more like a live-action Japanese animated movie brought to life since Cameron is a fan of Disney, anime, Ghibli, regular animation and that sort of thing. Much like how The Matrix is to movies like Akira, Ghost in The Shell, Ninja Scroll and Fist of the North Star
i could have this. anyone wanna send me this? its my birthday soon :D

I'm glad Cameron grew his hair out again. Compared to the crew cut, I really didn't mind his hippie look.

I agree, Cameron is one hell of a visionary director like Hayao Miyazaki.

I just watched this. The part about Grace's school and Neytiri's sister is so sad :(
