  • <3

  • My new obsession.! got to see them at MOBOT! one night to remember!

  • The way all these guys look ... its literally like they were made to play this type of music

  • Ryan went crazy on the harmonica that day. Both him and Pokey got hyper on coffee that day, and eventually had a slappy fight in the middle of a song on stage. It was hilarious! Ryan almost pushed pokey off the stage! :D

  • He's such a sweet guy to be around. I was really scared the day before yesterday when I met him to get a picture, and he just held out a hand and said "come right between us, darlin' ". Ryan (the harmonica player) just put his arm on my shoulder, and Pokey put his arm around my waist, and we got a great picture. Ryan seemed happy to see me, since he had been making silly faces at me for two hours the previous day. Over all, their my heroes in music.

  • see them live at the ladyluck club in london sept 2

    all details LADYLUCKCLUB.CO.UK

  • Great music....love the harmonica. Timeless

  • I think I'm in love. They all look like gentlemen that are nice and just want to hang out. sigh..

  • Skip James

  • Coming to my local on Sunday... woo

  • Cant wait to see them Wexford Arts Centre next Thurs 7th July

  • Saw them live in Inverness (Scotland) ..awesome . If they survive a trip to Skye and the Western isles (I think they like whisky so they may not get back!) check them out if they come to your town

  • I have the same guitar that sideburns guy is playing...his looks a lot better though...

  • its hyde from that 70s show 2nd to the right

  • Awesome shit

  • Send me an angel down...

  • pokey kicks ass!!!!!

  • Why the 'Brooklyn rooftop' video? Doesn't St Louis have rooftops?

  • I love this song! I'm down with "bwmacp2006" - that harp's been violated...

  • That harmonica just lost it's virginity...

  • Yeah!!!!Love it guys!!!

  • I bet the two "dislikes" hate sex with humans and kittens too.....

  • @fasteddie4145 you like sex with kittens?

  • @rossmat707 Yeah, right after I get done with your mom....

  • @fasteddie4145

    I have two dads

  • sweet!

  • Its awesome

  • This isnt country... its folk. There IS a very large difference

  • @UruguayanLion It's really not folk either. It'd be best classified as ragtime blues. So you're both wrong.

  • @ifinallygotaim77 Were all very impressed with your specificity

  • @ifinallygotaim77 Ragtime sounds about right. Who are these guys? I've been way to stuck in contemporary media. This is just refreshing.

  • @ifinallygotaim77 Ragtime sounds about right. Who are these guys? I've been way too stuck in contemporary media. This is just refreshing.

  • @UruguayanLion I would agree - it falls under the umbrella of Folk/Roots/Americana. . .or as John Fahey would classify it, Primitive American.

  • these guys are great, proves that country music can be really good

  • Sounds great. But all I hear in my head is "Loo Loo Loo" (ala Butters from Southpark) rather than la la la.

  • I met pokey at the shetland folk festival. And the three. They are amazing. Great band and great group of very eccentric individuals.

  • This is my favorite blues video!

The three are just wonderful :-)

  • is that chicago in the backround?

  • @v8nightmarekk

The "south city" three refers to south St. Louis. My best guess is that they're in St. Louis City. Not exactly sure where though..which is bad since i'm from the same area...lol.

  • @iheartdanebamf yeah i know there from st louis but it totally looks like chicago but ive never been to st louis is im guessing.

  • Vinyle voice.

  • Vinyle voice.

  • That harmonica player, uses the pentatonic scale better than I do....and I play guitar.

  • That harmonica player is SO good.

  • Love you guys, seriously. I'm so sad I missed your Richmond show. I bet it was as awesome as it was before.

  • man this is good

  • Seriously, what the hell is wrong with that 1 person? lol Love the band!

  • He is destroying that harmonica.

  • this is the on of my favorite bands i could listen to their music all day.

  • Not bad

  • could someone give me the tabs for the harmonica?

  • 1 person wasn't singing la la la

  • awesome face man

  • Was great playing with Bawn in the Mash in Paducah!

  • My Greek teacher showed me this song during classical culture. And I just love it, it also would be great in a cappella.

  • ran into these few at a small grocery in manitu.....i was staing at there amazing sticker filled van on the lot and stopped to chat. Put on a real good show at the frontrange BBQ hope to see them there again this summer

  • Hey, I met that guy. He's friends with my cousin.

  • yo. love pokey. just wondering what guitar he is using if anyone can help me out. also do bluegrass artists use differents guitars to get their sound.

  • @SW891

Pokey is incredibly awesome and sooo nice to all his fans. I go to his shows all the time. More times then not, he walks around and talks to anyone and everyone. He's honestly one of the most approachable people you will ever meet in your life and would be happy to answer any question you have.

  • @SW891 Can't tell you what make it is but it's a parlor style, common in a lot of old blues. Something tells me the one Pokey uses is probably vintage. Most bluegrass guitar players use a dreadnought, probably the most common body type for acoustic guitars.

  • drew, love this one man! the new cd is ahsum!!!

  • man this is badass

  • This is so amazing, has anyone got the lyrics?

I would be soooo thankful if someone would send them to me!!

  • Pokey looks like a skinny Geroge St. Pierre.

  • I love it! Happy blues!

  • WE WANT GWAR!

  • @hegarty09 hahahahahaha!!!
