I am sorry, it is way past saying "We are sorry." The Vatican is only sorry they got caught. They are still harboring these individuals. Mahony accepted the plea bargain ONLY to prevent him from taking the stand. The rabbit hole is deep, and at the bottom is the pope of Rome.

I think that the pope only offered the apology for damage control and for image sake. It's all about public relations and making their organization look good.

oh, how sick....how horrible. I knew Catholicism was voodoo and idol worship. I am Episcopalian, but, of course I have been to Catholic services before. I felt wierd and almost violated as a worshiper when in CO Springs, at one of the Catholic services I attended, that all these altar boys were following the priests and kept touching and carrying the tales of the robes...it was really wierd. Right in front of the congregation...seemed so wierd and perverted!

one thing is that he is open about his behaviour. it is clear these men are also suppressed in their organisation and divided about their human nature, sexuality and role, and it is disgracefull that it allowed to happen over and over.
