My favorite artist/engineer/architect; let's just say Leonardo da Vinci; The genius, combine with my favorite composer Johann Sebastian Bach; sublime!
@viking4211 WAY ahead of his time, he didn't have advanced mathematics his imagination needed. In 1800s, he would have changed our world. We would have efficient jetpacks..it's not crazy, the older I get, the less cynical?!! At uni, I thought he was a dreamer & never finished paintings. But he was inventing processes & thinking up new ways of putting things together, visually solving mysteries of anatomy and hydraulics. He bridged the gap in scientific thinking between Aristotle and Galileo.
You're wrong man (as that big hoax of the "Da Vinci code" does), actually, this is the biggest collection of Da Vinci's scripts and drawings. It's conserved here in Italy at the Biblioteca Ambrosiana in Milano. Gates just bought the Hammer codex.....
@JusPrimaeNoctis Bill Gates did buy these. He has them stored at his home. Do a web search of codex bought by Bill Gates. He had a special library built for them in his home he speaks of.
@MILLSTREETMED I'm sorry for you dude but you'd better study more, the codex Atlanticus is hosted in Italy at the Biblioteca Ambrosiana of Milan and includes 1119 sheets, Bill Gates bought only a few sheets from another very small collection...do again a web search, but do it right this time
@latinogott the Da Vinci Code is based on art history but the story is fictional...as fictional as the Twlight saga by Stephanie Meyers, and read by the same fanbase, readers of entertaining, popular mainstream fiction.
It only gets people INTERESTED in art history, for all it's relationship with TRUE HISTORY, (ie. cause and effect, relationships between people in the past, and actual recorded & proveable events that took place)..all I can say.
..and he actually produced extraordinary advancements in anatomy (in artistic knowledge about the body, and anatomical accuracy in science) Leonardo's research in embryology showed a insatiable and methodical dedication to knowledge. So he was also the bridge between Galen and his 'humours', and accurate modern empirical observation, in surgery and medicine. Hwe had few people to 'peer review' his work (like all modern scientific institutions have had the advantage of!)

My little mind can just barely grasp the extraordinary intellect of this man. I can just look in awe. And he draws pretty well... ;)
And the guy who composed the music, pretty good too. (Ahem!) One of my favorites actually.

Bill Gates, that faggot can't afford even to buy the Mona Lisa, never mind Da Vinci's blueprints.

Los trabajos de Leonardo da Vinci acerca de diseño de maquinarias eran bien elaborados y muy adelantado a su época

where are the lost invention plans, who has them the vatican must release them all it is for humanities benefit no the rich only.
zacatecastambor 3 years ago
you're right. the vatican have no right to keep them, leonardo didn't made his inventions only to be hidden by someone.
