And just to name a few others the rear crumple zone is reinforced, and a steal plate in the drivers seat. o not to mention dual exhaust. check your self a regular vic has one. and to add to yours yes the radiator is bigger and the alternator+ there is an oversized tranny cooler. and how do i know this i own one

The reason the suspect was able to do that is because when he lets go of the Mustangs wheel it auto-corrects and the car goes foward, I think the Crown Vic has that feature too.

I had two of those cars and they ARE amazing. My husband's 1997 will blow the doors off 80's-early '90's Corvettes and it's still stock from police use. My '04 was my second love, (after my husband, lol) but it amazed me every day. The speed, power, and handling that beast of a car had was unbelieveable! No wonder the police love them! I miss it so much and wish every day that I didn't have to let it go. If you ever buy a P71, you will never regret it. I promise you that.

Its not an economy engine, it's built for torque and power. No mods and it catches the economy mustang like its a cat playing with a mouse. 250 hp 297 lbs-ft torque

I own a 93 Mercury Grand Marquis (essentially a Crown Vic) with a 4.6L V8 and it's easily quicker than a V6 Stang (don't get me wrong, I love Stangs, my dad has an 84 SVO). Also the 4.6L pick up a LOT of their speed past 60mph (100kmh).

I'm aware of the Vic's engine, as I have a vehicle with the exact same engine. Although mine has the AOD-E transmission, it does have the true dual exhaust, adding quite a bit of power. I was simply telling DC how the vic caught up, as Vics and MGMs have a lot more pick up speed past about 60mp/h or 100km/h. The 4R70W trans adds a lot of speed in 1st and 2nd gears, which they are clearly not going to be in for this video.
