Very helpful! I'm going this June! Would you suggest paying money to go on the nature tours or activities at Nassau and CocoCay? Or is it worth bringing your own snorkeling equipment and walk around yourself? Thanks!
@gebarksdale90 I also have movies for Coco Cay and Nassau. Have you seen them? We enjoyed looking around the free parts of the Atlantis Resort in Nassau, (and accidentally snuck in to the waterpark), but I think next time we go to Nassau we will either go to a beach or quite possibly just stay on the ship. Coco Cay is beautiful. You can rent snorkeling equipment on the island or bring your own. Either way, there is underwater wildlife EVERYWHERE. I was amazed!
Just returned yesterday from this cruise, and it was absolutely beautiful. EVERYTHING! Not 1 complaint, the crew was amazing & made sure you were comfortable at all times. Can't wait to get back on this ship! There is something to do for everyone at all times I loved this cruise! especially relaxing on the top deck at night (BreathTAKING) :-)
Thanks for the video. I've already been to coco cay and Nassau, but this will be my husbands first time. For the past couple of weeks I've been trying to explain the things on the island and your video was perfect for him to get a better idea! Thanks!
Mr. Morgan OBrien , Good job, Brings back a lot of memories.Unforgettable cruise, my first of many. Does anyone remember seeing a wooden owl, parched on her deck? When she was in California, she cruised 3 and 4 day trips to Santa Catalina Island, and Ensenada Mexico, and is truly missed by people who cruised her.
@nascred I don't remember the owl, but I'm glad you enjoyed the video. How long ago was your first cruise and how many have you been on since??? I was looking at your channel and you've done so many!
YES, the ship is a WHOLE lot bigger than it looks in pictures. and half the time the elevators were way too occupied so you really had no choice but to take the stairs!
Im going on this to Nassau in January, soooo excited. Any recommendations for something to do on the ship? Im a 19 year old guy...ill be with a friend if that makes a difference.
@HatersW3lcome Well, you'll probably be pretty bored.... AHHH, just kidding. Every day you will get a little newspaper with all the activities listed and the problem is usually figuring out how to make it to all the things you want to do. We always dig the trivia contests, and the most entertaining things on the ship are the big game shows, like "Newlyweds", "The Belly Flop Contest", and especially "QUEST". Try to get on a team for Quest. Trust me, you'll find enough to do!
@HatersW3lcome well it was kinda like our own club, it had a dance floor, and they had a dj, then there were like drinks and food and it was right by the sports deck, so we played games on the sports deck, and pingpong, and the arcade was connected, so we played in the arcade, and I remember one of our last days on the cruise, everybody was so exhausted, so we put on a movie (And theres like 20 tvs in there) and we just watched a movie. the 'green room' was cool too.
@dmcx2010 It depends on where your cabin is. Usually, you can't hear other people, but you can always here the sound of the ship's engines. It's a constant, low humming sound.
@believe29music Yes! They have the "Royal Babies" program, as well as the Royal Tots (18-36 months), the Aquanauts (3-5), Explorers (6-8), and the Voyagers (9-11). I don't have any first hand experience with the programs, but if you go to the Royal Caribbean website and search for "Adventure Ocean", you can find tons of info about it. Have fun!
MrMorganOBrien, forgive me if you already covered this in a video, but do you have any recommendations/tips for transportation between the airport and port? I know you indicated the return trip can be booked at the Explorations counter, and I'm assuming the initial trip can be booked thru travel agent or RC directly. But do you recommend it? We're on a budget and so am looking for the most cost effective method for four adults. Thanks, lhiggs.
@lhiggs I have only ever used the "official" transportation, but there are a ton of other options. I would recommend doing some shopping around on the internet and comparing it with a travel agent. Otherwise, look into the price of renting a car for the length of the cruise... it might turn out to be cheaper if you get a special deal!
@TheMomagaga Yes, there are lots of activities for teens, including a dance club and lounge just for teens, (Fuel and the Living Room), and it is all organized by the staff of Adventure Ocean.
Thanks for the tips in your video. My wife and I are taking our first cruise on the monarch and we found all of your videos to be helpful keep up the good work!!!!!!
I'm going on adventures of the seas in 3 weeks. About the food, I know that those buffet areas are open all day but what about the restaurants like that sushi place and is it included or extra cost? Alcohol is not free but do they ever serve it for free? How is the pricing?
Thank you very much for this video. My husband and I are taking our first cruise in 2 weeks on the Monarch. We appreciate your tips in this video as well in the video on Coco Cay.
@mrsalpv Thank you so much for your compliments. If you have any questions not answered in the videos, feel free to post them here or send me a PM. The Monarch is a great ship for "first time cruisers" and I know you will have a blast.
@sietseld The Monarch is a great ship for a first cruise! You are going to love it. Check out my other videos about the cruise we were on to inform yourself before you go, that way you'll be ready for everything.
@byaromey I bet you are counting those days! I know I would be. If you have any questions, feel free to post them here. I have made several other videos about our time on the Monarch, so check them out, too!
@N145PM You are still going to have a great time, even if it is just 4 nights. We had a blast.
Oh, and although I wasn't there, I heard that the "near miss" was not as dramatic as people are making it out to sound. : ) The Dream is HUGE, though!
MY FAMILY AND I WENT ON THE SHIP!!!THERE WAS 100 OF US....IT WAS SO AWSOME!!!!HAD SUCH A GOOD TIME

@MrMorganOBrien -- Hi MrMorgan:
Just the three-night cruise (Fri-thru Mon). I love the Monarch -- i wish it was the 4 night one. Or even better, a 3 and 4 night back to back.
Did you hear about the Disney Dream almost crashing into Monarch in Port Canaveral on Jan 17 ?? OMG
