yea iv also seen alot of bashing towards war, saying wow is better so on and so forth. i played wow for years and for years i knew it sucked lol im about to go out and buy war because i was at a friends house the other day and he was showing it to me, so to set the record straight, war is far better than wow

man, my warrior priest got nailed with one of those. at first i was in shock and didnt know what had happened. i thought a shaman had hit me because the green goop but it had almost one-hit me. by the time i realized what had happened i was screwed. they did a good job with these siege weapons.

Ive been noticing a trend among these warhammer videos where people just post "warhammer sucks I bought it and I dont like it." But they dont even state why they dislike it. My guess is its either really dedicated wow fanboys or people on blizzards payroll. Wouldnt suprise me considering they did the same thing to combat interest in Guild Wars when it came out.

i doubt it, since wow has a customer base of about 9-10million... most of them have invested over hundreads of hours and dollars into it and wouldnt drop the game easily... we never know... i say in about 4-6months this will have about 2-3 mil subscribers

WAR has 500,000 subscribers or half a million. Which is insanely good for a MMO. WoW didn't have that many after its first two weeks. So WAR has the potential to be really good we will see how it does after a month but as of right now its a huge hit.

This is an RvR game, there are instances that are hard, but there for groups of 6. No more play for 8 hours with 25-40 people 5 days a week to get anywhere.

This really is not siege warfare at all. These are just siege weapons in the T1 warcamp you can play around with :P

You can buy siege weapons from the Quartermaster and build them during keep sieges in Tier 2 onwards.

The draw distance has been like that since DAoC times, if they rendered everything there you would lag which is why the gameplay is so smooth...

What you are seeing is just a tier 1 siege wpn from the warcamp. It is not a real representation of the game siege mechanics.

The real siege war can be seen from tier 2 onwards when you siege keeps and fortresses later. You need 5-6 people to operate a ram and build siege wpns on siege pads.

Nice vid. One side note is that this is tier 1 siege warfare. More of an introduction to the idea than anything. Higher tiered siege warfare is going to be a lot more developed and important. In high level keep capture you'll have rams on doors, ballistas dropped outside, cauldron's of boiling oil placed over keep doors to pour on the poor saps in the siege ram plus a lot more. A lot to look forward to.
