licence, to use real life markings the manufacturers need to pay and most of the time its ALOT of money (minimum 2million$ for a gun)

i'm not sure about the amount of money but its what I remember from a dev interview from one of the 'Ghost Recon' or maybe was it 'Rainbow6' game dont remember
