Evocative each time ... the gentle descending and ascending cadence, the moving, urging lyrics, Justin's vocal beauty with brilliant orchestral voices—brilliant in the dramatic dynamic contrast of bass (the human) flutes (nature) horns (time) drums (drama) and the string continua of cello, viola, violins as the hope of and for a humane heart crying, crying for humanity—the river of endless joy and salvation flowing eternal—at the close, a rising lark, a rousing cello springs eternal
Great song by one of the greatest voices of this or any generation. Thanks to Justin and all he's done for humanity. Nice video, and many images were spot on, however as a retired military man with eyes now fully opened, I have come to the realization that Bin Laden was a patsy used by the "village idiots" VP and the machine to carry out a false flag op on 911. Bitter pill to swallow, as i had voted for sr. village idiot and his son both times. 911 was sadly an inside job. See "Loose Change".
Awesome Song I also Like Al Stewart's version Its all true. Nostrodamus May have been the first person to decipher the biblical codes...and he did it without the modern day technology. The Man was gifted in many ways.
Nostradamus is pure apocryphal light shining bright and clear; it is a torch that now glows and rocks gently as only Justin can write and sing it. Justin, our brother saint of the wake-up songs of the poetic song genre, urge us on dear man.
Nostradamus spun an apocryphal story, like the Book of Revelation, designed to get us into the end time: the here & now, the ethical good life in which the ideal of care overrides self-interest: greed & the like; care brings lasting justice, a sustained grace for gratitude, love of life, which swaps fake life for reality. Nostro' was a priest of a mystic tradition of acetic Jesuits in the wine country of France. He does seem to have tapped into the spooky. Shall we see the end... of somethin'?
Oo, you have combined my favorites here! Using Judas Priest's album cover for their album Nostradamus, and then having Justin Hayward singing a song about the same subject. Lovely :)
On my 8 hours trips in the truck from Rotterdam to Le Havre or to Rouen, the albums from The Moody Blues were alway`s my company, people looked strange when they saw me singing, looooooool, great trips with great music.
Any chance of posting any/all of these songs from the same album: Lay it on Me, Tightrope, County Girl, and Songwriter? There are some really great songs on it, but I hadn't found anything on youtube until I found this now.
These are my favourite songs on it, but can't find them.
A very Powerful creation My Friend!! As an old Fan of the Moodies up til 'Sur La Mer' This is the first time I have heard this! Not Justin Hayward's familiar signature but its relevanceis in the NWO is perhaps an example of his versatility!! Well Done!! and a Big Thank you to Christel for the share!!
A very interesting video of a fascinating song by the wonderful Justin Hayward.
I adore this song which is meaningful and tells of so much waste of human hopes and dreams due to greed and hatred within humanity and the destruction of what could have been a paradise.
OMG the first picture is the Judas Priest Nostradamus album cover! This is a great song, i'm a fan of so many genres, i love the moody blues and i know practically all their songs, but i also love heavy metal, but not that modern crap. 60s-90s is the best period for music. i just saw the m.b. in concert in C.T. i cant believe they played Gypsy! it was awesome.
Good song. Never heard it before. How come the hates itself so much. I guess I will never understand. So much to celebrate. Anything else is is waste of time.
Okay, I love the Moody Blues and I respect Justin Hayward for his wonderful song-writing talents and incredible voice...but the Bible predicted all of these things over 2,000 years ago...long before Nostradamus...check out the Books within, of Daniel, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Jude & Revelation...
Nosterdomas, The Myan Calinder & Possibly The Bible, Lead To The End! As We Know It! 2012 Myan Calinder Ends! I Think? Nosterdomas Says, The Same? If Correct? The Re-Birth of Israel , In 1947-48. Is The End of Gentile Times. Don't Know When? But HELL'S A-COMMING! GET READY! Praise The LORD, Thy GOD! Jesus Christ our LORD & SAVIOR! HE WILL BE COMING, FOR HIS CHURCH/BRIDE! Whe HE's Ready! Deo Vindice!
Spooky, but true! I never used to pay much attention to Nostradamus, but now I don't know. Unless we change our ways, a lot of these dire things could happen. At first I thought, why would Justin write such a dark song? But I guess he's as concerned as the rest of us. Thanks for opening our eyes, Justin.
My (deceased) friend used to tell me that this song was about me, for I can see into the hearts of men and tell them all about themselves, just by viewing their pictures. Awesome job well done, here.

I would love to find this album, "Songwriter", on CD. Justin is one of the most gifted composers of his generation.

It's unfortunate that the creator of this video had to ruin it by throwing in his personal political leanings.

Great song, sent a chill up my spine even tho I've read a bit of prophesy from various sources.
If you can create goosebumps in the listener / reader, you've done the subject justice.
Good video too. Thanks for posting it.
