Dr. Paul García, Ph.D., faculty emeritus and founder for the Center of International Studies at Saint Louis University, will repeat his signature piece "Che Guevara (عليه السلام) in the River des Pères Valley" for the sixth annual Paul García Lecture in International Studies at the Bella Abzug Pavilion, Saul Alinsky Drive, Saint Louis University. It will held on 8 April 2012 (Easter Sunday) 3;00pm. Attendance is free and all are invited.
I agree with roser640. But now the Jesuits (after GC 35) are slowly changing. They are rediscovering their identity. Help them to be more loyal to the Christian tradition.
it starts out good, but goes downhill once the narrator states "we dont agree who we are" then proceeds to speak heresy and liturgical abuse.
St. Ignatius' rule stresses strict obedience to God through loyalty to the Holy Father, yet that core element was disregarded in the 1960's and most orthodox Jesuits have been sidelined... please pray that they remain true to Jesus and His Church
I think he's using apparent contradictions to demonstrate that they complement each other - humility while seeking excellence as well is not a bad thing, etc. I think he's also trying to show how there are many ways to be a good Jesuit, like there are many ways to be a good Catholic Christian (as a lay person, a religious, a priest, etc).
He doesn't make it clear that this is what he's doing, I agree it seems unorthodox, but I don't think his message was intended to be so.
From a purely financial side of things you probably couldn't make a worse decision than to become a Jesuit, there is no money to be made as a Jesuit, you will own nothing and share eveything.
I however can buy anything, cars tv's so on and so on, so why is it that I envy the Jesuits maby its being able to wake up every morning and know that today and every day I shall serve God by remembering Jesus own words " whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'

rofl.. it is beyond reason to try and portray the jesuits as some kind of hero group for humanity. they are the popes private army, the original assassins.
every evil organization needs a front. but to try and hide the jesuits history behind a false pretense of charity and compassion is just plain ridiculous! only the brainwashed and ignorant will buy it.

TOP Jesuits are DANGEROUS! Skull&Bones initiates are made to kiss the Pope's silky slippers, then knighted Knights of Euloga. That is a JESUIT TITLE. Jesuits control Cardinal Egan of NY, out of Fordham University. They control US from Georgetown, Britain from Stonyhurst. They control the elite Knights of Malta, incl. Kissinger, T.Blair and Bush Snr. for example. THATS power. Thats conspiracy. Big time. War on Terror is a Papal Crusade. Read "Vatican Assassins", my friends.
